I want to thank Jacob and his team from the Royal Oak location for the wonderful job they are doing to care for my husband who is in independent living in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Their attention to his care and kindness have given me a tremendous amount of peace knowing he is in such good hands. I would highly recommend Cornerstone Caregivers if you have a loved one who needs to be cared for. This is my second review for Cornerstone and I just want to reiterate what a great company this is and how wonderful Jacob and his team are in the care of my husband. Jacob and the whole team are always kind, respectful and considerate to my mom. They promptly answer my questions when I have them and are flexible with the occasional cancellation of necessary service. Mom feels safe and well cared for with each caregiver. As a family, we are grateful for the support given to mom. I recommend Cornerstone Caregiving.

If you care about your family member DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. We hired Cornerstone to care for my aging parent with dementia. Jacob assured me that he had been certified in dementia care and his company would be the perfect fit. Jacob may be certified, but his caregivers certainly are not. On the last night, the caregiver Makayla was basically yelling questions at my parent and I looked at her and said "you know they have dementia, right??" The next morning, I walked in to my parent awake and sitting in a wheelchair with a dried puddle of urine underneath the chair that had soaked through not only the brief, the sweatpants, and the wheelchair, but also the inch-thick seat cover. Makayla was asleep in a chair on the opposite end of the room. The brief weighed at least 10 pounds because she never bothered to change it for at least 12 hours. That was the last straw. Now that I have a new caregiving company I realize how truly awful Cornerstone is and I feel sick that it took me so long to fire them. Cornerstone has no concept of "companion" care and instead their "caregivers" would just sit in the room on their phones and ignore my parent, or often sleep, as we have now seen on the facility video cameras. The assisted living facility has now BANNED Cornerstone from taking care of anyone in the building. This was after we watched another caregiver repeatedly shove my parent into the wheelchair on another occasion on video, which was horrifying. They apparently never interacted, fed, or offered drinks to my parent - one of the main requirements of the job. I should have known this was the case when every time I visited my parent they would be hungry and thirsty and would eat and drink so much with me. With our new caregivers, every time I visit and offer food or water it is mostly refused or my parent will have a bite or two or a sip or two because they don't need it. Keep looking until you find a good, caring company for your family - anything but Cornerstone. When we would bring up numerous issues, Jacob would quickly and repeatedly apologize - he should win an award for his apologies - and assure us that he was taking steps to fix the issues but nothing ever got better. This company and the majority of their caregivers are truly cruel and I hope no one else suffers under their care.

Cornerstone Caregiving in Troy, Mi goes above and beyond taking care of their clients. I had requested their patient transportation service, however with the tornado that hit the night prior to my surgery it caused issues for my family to travel to take care of me. Cornerstone stepped up and made for sure I was safe for the next 24 hours, with great care from Dominique. Thank you to all the Cornerstone employees of Troy, Mi for your passionate care and most of all working with me in every aspect. Blessings to you all.

My sister needed some help after having a couple strokes at a young age. The people at Cornerstone Caregiving are wonderful. Shebria is upbeat and positive. She is gentle and caring. She always treats my sister with dignity and respect. Cornerstone caregiving has enabled my sister to live independently in her own apartment and it means everything to us! They are good people and they have good leadership. I can’t say enough good things about them!
