I had called because I was told that this is the company that had received a referral for a family friend after her discharge from TCU. The person that I talked with on the phone was very rude and dismissive. She said that they have worked in the past and would refuse to take her back as a patient, so instead of problem solving and trying to assist a vulnerable adult they said to 'figure it out'. I wished I had gotten the name of the person I spoke to on the phone because she should not be in this field if she doesn't care about the vulnerable adults that need assistance.

My partner recently came home from an extended hospital stay. This has been. a terrible experience. No followup. No contact. He was home for more than a week before anyone contacted us. A nurse finally came to do an intake after 9 days. She said he would have someone coming over 3 times/week for wound care. No body called to set up another appointment. He did have a PT person come by, but they told him he needed cardiac rehab and they couldn’t help him. Today he called them. They told him he hasn’t been available by phone. He has no messages from them. They said he refused to allow their staff into our apartment. Not true. The intake nurse was here for over an hour. They said he refused to show them her his meds bottles. She never asked to see them. He met with PT in the building gym. They didn’t seem to have a problem with that. The person he talked to couldn't get rid of him fast enough. She accused him of a number of things that were not true or a twist of the truth. As I listened to the call, I was shocked. I am always here, so I would have overheard or witnessed if these things happened. So, now I have a man with a very deep groin wound who is doing his own wound care. We still need help, but CenterWell could NOT care less..

The therapist and nurses who came for care were wonderful. The low rating is due to their lack of communication and scheduling. Therapists and nurses would just show up at the home without warning. They did not communicate with patient or family to tell them when they were coming. I can’t imagine how many times they might show up and no one is at home. VERY frustrating to deal with. When I would try to call to get info I was on hold and bounced between many people to get an answer. They need to find a better system.

Therapists and staff took careful consideration everything the patient was going through with the effects of a stroke. Gave hope and encouragement in the recovery process at the person's ability to improve each week. Kim, Lindsay, Trish and Rachel appreciate all your hard work and efforts for Barry's recovery.
