My experience with this hospital was by far the best comparing to all the hospitals i’ve been to. I love the staff, and I especially loved our provider Dr. Wilkinson. She was so patient and understanding, never pressured me with anything rather she will listen to you. Since we moved out of the state, I likely won’t be seeing her again, but I do miss being under her care.

We had the worst experience there. It was about 15 years ago, and I am still angry. I should have filed a formal complaint. I took my mother to the ER for abdominal pain. They accused her of drug seeking. Didn't run any tests for HOURS. The staff just kept insulting her. It turns out she had an intestonal/bowel obstruction. She had to go SD for surgery. The pain was really bad, she could have died.

my mom admitted from er with serious symptoms.... ..was notified from nursing home she needs more care than they can give....ambulance ride to hospital .....family met mom in er , did tests , and admitted .......family left work and drove thru day to get there ....24 hours later ......no dr seen with family , we waited all day to see dr - no dr .....and all of a sudden mom discharged by nurse when we walked out of room just for few minutes (been there all day waiting for dr , results , ask questions , want more tests done etc ) ...was told today mom would stay overnight yet by nurses ..mom is still not well/better and they had to wake her to dress her .. ....transported back to nursing home .....ridiculous the communication.......isn't the health field suppose to be there for the UNhealthy .......I feel they waited all day for us to walk out a minute .....didn't know til discharge papers that dr was there at 642 am but no dr communication with us ....we been wanting brain scans , etc ....and find out only at discharge they were done and we were not notified ....moms bp dropping to 90/over 48 ......nursing home not excited about mom back without answers on her condition/symptoms either ......we put our trust in the Dr s and the Lord but ill pray to the Lord to continue to take care of mom and pray to the Lord to TEACH the Dr s who should be doing their duty also to take care of our loved ones .....I didn't want to give 1 star but it would not let me post unless I did ...... :(

Took my son to the clinic and got yelled at for wasting their time they charged me and not insurance, Son passes out a week later, I take son to ER get yelled at for not bringing in sooner 1 hr later get yelled at for wasting the ER time get charged thousands for nothing but yelling. I took my son to another place, paid 75 bucks, and he was diagnosed with strep throat. They have no clue what they are doing, can't even diagnose strep throat. Then they overcharge for yelling at you.

I wanted to write this for the Hospice, but I am unable. So, I will be more generic. I have a primary doctor at Pipestone Medical clinic and I have been very impressed. Dr. Savio and her team are amazing. They are caring, empathetic and I never feel rushed when I have an appointment. I have met other providers there when she was unavailable for a sick visit and I have been equally impressed. Also, the Avera Hospice group is amazing! I adore them all. They took care of my Dad when he passed and were so kind and attentive. As family we can get a little challenging due to emotions, but they never held that against us. They were patient and understanding. The team that work with dying patients and their families are such gifts as that is a hard job, but they all do it so well. They will always hold a special place in my heart. I can't say enough good things about them.
