My family member moved into assisted living this summer. The facility he is at was previously owned by Ebenezer. It was an amazing facility with amazing staff. Then about a month in, LifeSpark bought them. I could not be more disappointed. A bulk majority of the amazing staff left- which I assume means that the contracts were renegotiated, and they were probably going to lose pay or benefits (not okay). On top of that, the quality of care has gone down significantly. They are missing doctor ordered weight and BP recordings, they have refused to give my family member their meds when they need them (again by doctors orders) they unnecessarily withheld a rescue inhaler, and on top of that, some of the new staff was incredibly rude- then when I brought it up, they tried to avoid the accusations. These are just a few of the examples of things that are going terribly. I could type for days. I’m not one to leave reviews unless I really think they are necessary, and I think that people need to know what they are getting into with LifeSpark. Really think about what you want for your loved ones before going to any LifeSpark communities.

Very dissatisfied with this business. They give you 1 day notice for appointments. They don't want to be available past 2 P.M. Very unhappy with the Therapy I received. Poor communication. Use another company. Stay Away from this one.

I’m deeply disappointed by the unprofessional conduct of one of the RNs, Khris. She made an uncalled-for and highly inappropriate comment in front of a client, directed toward staff — something that no professional should ever do, especially in a care setting. While I appreciate that the regional supervisor, Lindsey, responded promptly and handled the situation with genuine concern and professionalism, the fact that this incident occurred in the first place is unacceptable. It reflects a serious lapse in judgment and respect for both clients and staff. I truly hope leadership takes immediate corrective action to ensure this individual is held accountable. Families and providers place a great deal of trust in this organization, and maintaining that trust starts with removing those who compromise it.

I really enjoy my therapist Annette. We worked together for about 6 weeks, then got discharged. Went to an outpatient facility for 4 weeks and had a horrible experience. I thought I was going to be working with an experienced therapist, instead I got a student who was dressed like a Dr. He was horrible. So I'm back with life spark and Annette. I've gotten more from her doing it at home with minimal equipment than I did at the other outpatient facility where they only had like 3 pieces of equipment. A Nu-step, some stairs, and a bed. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that. I still have 3 sessions left with Life Spark and I'm praying they can recommend a better outpatient P.T than the last place. I really enjoy having Annette help me along in my journey to recovery. Keep up the great work....

I would give Lifespark a zero for care of my mom the last ,6 weeks! The rating only lets you go as low as a 1. Lifespark is a paper tiger with not enough staff to back up what they tell you about care level and will reduce care visits to your loved ones on an apparent arbitrary basis. In ,now 7 weeks my mom has had just one personal aide visit when I was told it would be once a week. I asked originally for 2 visits, as when you have skilled nursing care Medicare will pay for up to 6 hours of Care a week and they basically laughed at me. They say mom's aide is out. How can you operate a he,slth care business largely to serve aging seniors without enough help.? How can they serve their patients? They just ignore them;! Great health care, huh!! In the 7 weeks of basically wound care for mom, we have seen 7 or 8 different nurses at all hours. Each tells me a different way to treat the wound so I'm not sure what to do anymore and they've dropped the nurse visits from 3 a week to 2!! Mom's Doctor ordered them to do a blood draw for several things he wants to check and they tried 3 times to get blood and failed and now they say they can't do it!! Her Doctor Ordered it! They say they have social workers to help with care beyond skill nursing, but despite asking about it, I've never heard from anyone. They probably short of help in this area too!!! My mom is just shy of 100 with dementia and I'm her sole caregiver. I could probably use some advice. I've been caring for mom for over 10 years. I will say the staff I've dealt with are nice and generally competent, but the company appears to be terribly run and administrated. I would look to other health. home care companies that really do provide care or get every item of your loved ones care requirements in writing. Also, they like to hide behind their care policies in their 100 page info manual they burden you with the first time you meet them;!
