Our experience at Chadron Hospital was outstanding. Our child had his tonsils and adenoids removed, and from check-in through recovery, every staff member we encountered was kind, professional, and incredibly compassionate. Multiple team members commented on how polite and respectful he was, and they treated him with such patience and reassurance — helping turn what could have been a stressful experience into a calm, positive one. The ENT team, OR staff, nursing staff, anesthesia providers, and recovery team were exceptional with pediatric care. Ice was ready and waiting, Jell-O was on call, and every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. Communication was clear and reassuring at every step, and he felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the entire process — he’s already asking for a cheeseburger, which says it all. 😄 It truly was the best experience we could have hoped for. We are deeply grateful for the incredible team at Chadron Hospital and the care they provide to our community.

We extremely disappointed in how this hospital handles billing. Three years ago, My wife was told that our bill was fully paid. I never received any further communication or notice suggesting otherwise. Now, out of nowhere, we are being sent to collections for a bill we were never told still existed. This is completely unacceptable. If there was an issue, we should have been contacted either by phone or mail long before it escalated. Instead, the hospital’s negligence in record-keeping and communication is now damaging our credit. Patients deserve better than this kind of financial ambush years after the fact. We will absolutely not be returning here and would advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with their billing department. Keep every receipt, get everything in writing, and double-check everything — even years later.

Dr. Schuckman has been my doctor throughout my first pregnancy and is my sons doctor. She is laid back and caring which makes her extremely easy to talk to when voicing any questions/concerns. She has been an asset through postpartum and trying to determine any issues we’ve had arise with formula, reflux, etc. with my son. All of the nurses we had throughout my delivery and postpartum were very attentive, caring, and kind! They all offered to help us in any way possible even though they were not all specifically assigned to us. Any issues we’ve had with billing/insurance were easily fixed with a simple phone call. I would highly recommend Dr. Schuckman as we will continue to be receiving our family care with her.

I have been to the hospital twice for friend(s) and have had to call regarding questions for a friend as well. Dr. Shuckman acts with little to no urgency, speaks to her patients with no care and almost as if she does it because she has to by law and not because she cares at all. Some of the nurses are very kind and I feel bad for them having to work there. Also, the receptionists can be extremely rude. If I am in need of care, I would rather drive myself to the next hospital than seek care here.

This is by far the worst hospital I have ever been too. I have met a few great nurses but that's about it. One er doctor I had was amazing. Dr.Shukman gave me the impression that I did not matter when I first arrived. I felt as if I was a burden to her and the nurses that day. Will definitely seek care in bluffs in the future.v
