Guardian Angel Home Care assessed my mother within 48 hours of being transferring out of a skilled nursing facility and seemed amazing at first. But then there was an insurance question posed to them, left for Patti in the form of voice mails and messages to the main line. Guardian Angel Home Care does not return calls. We were left to wonder when they would show up since there is no communication. After calling several times and speaking the the person who picked up the phone (she does not answer calls with her name) I finally got a confirmation that they were going to start treatment the following day (8 days after the assessment) but she did not know what time they would arrive. I patiently waited with my mother all day for the visits, Guardian Angel Home Care was scheduled for a nurse and physical therapy appointment on Wednesday Aug 14. They were no-shows and did not call. This set back my mother's mobility and motivation tremendously. On the following day, the physical therapy assistant came for an appointment (24 hours late!!!) but by then it was too late, we already exerted an enormous effort to find and hire another home health company because Guardian Angels did not show up, still with no calls to explain what happened. Aside from the delayed start of physical therapy/nursing (they waited an entire WEEK to show up after the assessment - unacceptable), zero communication, and the dodged calls, there were other red flags surrounding this establishments. For instance, I called Patti on her direct line in Las Vegas (702 area code) and she told me I was calling the Guardian Angels in Chicago and her name is Heather. I cannot wrap my brain around that response.
