I had a great experience with Elder Life during a very stressful time. Their general customer service was excellent. I always felt very looked after and they were really trying to help and overall, I am glad I chose them. However, the reason they didn't get a full 5 stars is because anything to do with their financial office is really, really poor. Anytime I had to deal with the finances outside of the loan staff it was so frustrating, time consuming and disappointing because it didn't have the same standard of customer service.

When we first reached out to Elder Life Management back in February, we felt helpless and were uncertain as to whether or not we were doing everything we could for my mom. As soon as Liz came on board, we felt like we could breathe again. Liz was truly a godsend!! Besides her extensive knowledge in nursing, she exuded a sense of calm, confidence, and genuine compassion towards my mom, which greatly calmed our worries and fears immediately. We felt like we finally had someone on Mom's side, someone who would look at all options and really figure out what was best for her at that moment. From that point forward, we knew every decision we made was the right one, and that alone has given us great peace. Besides advocating and making sure Mom was well cared for, Liz was crucial in helping us prepare for Mom's passing as well. Up until this May, my in-laws hadn't made any burial plans for themselves. At 69 years old, they felt like they had more time; however, as Mom declined, Liz was crucial in helping Dad and my husband through that difficult process, one we hadn't dealt with before. The last couple of days leading up to Mom's passing, everything was taken care of - from the funeral home, to the cemetery, to the food for the shiva. Having that all in place beforehand allowed us to simply be with Mom, physically and mentally, during her passing. Then, when she passed, we were able to simply grieve. That week, although very hard for our family, went as smoothly as one could have hoped for, and it was ALL because of Liz (someone who knew what was happening, what to expect, and what needed to be done). We are ever so grateful for her, and ultimately Elder Life Management who connected us with Liz.

I worked with Elder Life Mgmt over the last 5 months to help my Mom get Medicaid. She was living in Assisted living and then had a massive stroke and ended up in a nursing home. The process was moving at a great speed for her to get coverage at her assisted living place, but when she had the stroke Elder Care put it into overdrive so that she would be covered as soon as her rehab/medicare coverage ended. They were invaluable to me (Thank you Angeles), they responded immediately whenever I had a question. They worked with the nursing home to give them the info they needed. They were always available to me during this stressful time. I had done all the paperwork for my Mom's VA surviving benefits....it was beyond challenging. This was twice as complicated! A delay in receiving benefits could result in an out of pocket cost of $5000 to 12,000 per month (assisted living & nursing home costs). To pay them their fee was the best money we spent. The pressure was off and we knew they would do the application and constant back and forth with the medicaid office correctly. They were invaluable to me and my family. Mom's rehab ended and medicaid started the next day. Best Christmas present ever.

I have had the pleasure of working with ElderLife since 2011. Taking care of an elderly relative seemed a daunting task until I met with Judith and her associates. First meeting GREAT---on going care---FANTASTIC. From choosing the right assisted living facility[with continued care for future needs] to filling out forms and filing paperwork, I have experienced nothing less than excellence. I would NOT hesitate for a moment, to recommend ElderLifeManagement . My THANKS To ALL! Annie Fialk

A friend recommended Elder Life Management when my relative needed to pay for his nursing home care. I was hesitant because I thought I could handle the Medicaid application myself. Boy oh boy was I wrong!! My experience with Michele and Angela was always very professional yet supportive and caring at the same time. Their knowledge of Medicaid is endless! The entire team at Elder Life Management was an extreme pleasure. I highly recommend them if you find yourself in a position that I did. Theresa Armstrong
