It’s Very hard for me to write this review being a True Believer but I must write the Truth, Good or Bad. This Hospice Group was forced upon me as where I’m at COMPLETE CARE in Cedar Grove,NJ had made changes to the Contract of a Hospice Company that I had brought in, met with, was Extremely Happy w their Plan but The Company called me up & told me That They Couldn’t take me on due to the Changes made on their Contract, I had to bend down to use The Services of VNA HEALTH, Which Already Has a Contract Here, I Knew from The Beginning that This was NOT THE RIGHT HOSPICE Company to Care for Me at This Ending of My life, But as said I was FORCED into using Them out of Lack of Options. Right from The Beginning Their Nurse “Albert” who had met w Me and just wanted to Speed Through My EXTENSIVE Medical History, as I was Trying to give Him a Very Good Picture but he wanted to just rush me through what was The MOST IMPORTANT PART OF MY LIFE, THE ENDING OF IT AS COMFORTABLE AND PEACEFUL AS POSSIBLE! I called The Office & explained the Situation and Make Them Aware of MY LAST WISHES! They gave a Different Nurse “Christian” who was The Absolute Worst Nurse that I have Ever Encountered in the past 20yrs!! He was so agressive towards me & spoke to me in such a Demeaning Manner, it was as He was LOOKING FOR A FIGHT! I had to call The Office & Ask for a Different Nurse. They sent this Nurse “Katie” who was Exactly What A Nurse, Especially a Hospice Nurse Should Act like, Speak like and treated Me Very Gently. I Called The Office and Requested that KATIE Be My Nurse, but they REFUSED & told me it wasn’t Her territory, It was Christian’s and I told Them I Felt UNSAFE w Christian, So they forced Albert upon me Again. During their LACK OF CARE, I Suffered a Heart Attack on July 13th on THEIR WATCH! I kept requesting A medication that I had been on Safety for years and I would be told “Yes, that’s a Great Idea by Nurses on the phone when I had to call in the middle of the night suffering in such a High Level of pain! Bottom Line Tuesday Albert came in After I had just seen my Primary Dr now of 16yrs and He had to Check me out Thoroughly and prescribed a Power Chair as I Cannot use a Regular Wheelchair as it gives me Chest pains. So Tues when Albert The “Nurse” was here, He was Literally FIGHTING with me that he was REFUSING To Take The Prescription for the Power Chair, Insisting First that Medicare wouldn’t cover it, which I had assured him that I spoke w Medicare on Saturday and got All the Information that My Dr Needed to put in order to get The Power Chair. He Also Fought w Me over The recommended Medication to help lower my pain from The BEST That This So Called “Hospice Company” had it which was an 8! Which is Way too High to live & Die in! So Yesterday He walked in, All Fired up & Threw my prescription from my Dr on My Table and said “We’re Revoking You from Hospice.”When asked WHY? Albert claimed that it was due to a Joke that was made in front of Their Social Worker 2 weeks prior, which was simply “You’re lucky Katie The Peacemaker is Here”Which was laughed at by All that day! The Truth be told Albert Verbally revoked me last Wednesday due to the fact that Their Company Could NOT Control My Intractable Pain & I even suffered another Heart Attack due to their Negligence! Before VNA my health was Bad enough,I’m now hanging on by a Thread,Literally! I am now literally Begging a Phenomenal inpatient Hospice Facility to let me live out the rest of My days in physical and emotional Comfort, As The LORD Has Guided Me to Them as They’re Everything A Man who is Dying Needs,People who Truly Care About those who are Dying & Suffering Physically and Emotionally. I Must focus on the NOW & NOT The Suffering at the hands of VNA HEALTH, But Please Be Extremely Careful about having VNA take Care of You or Your Loved One.As a True Believer, A True Christian it’s hard to have said these Raw but 100% True Facts about VNA HEALTH.Their 2.6 Rating Speaks for itself. I Asked SEVERAL TIMES TO SPEAK W THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR OR SUPERVISOR & WAS NEVER ABLE TO!

I. Have been with bonabes homecare, visiting nurses for 2 and a 1/2 weeks actually over 2 and a 1/2 weeks. The first nursery was supposed to be here. Get a no call and put me down as a refusal. A week later, I was sent a different nurse. She came once on a Friday and told me that Monday. She would be contacting my specialist getting supplies and then Returrning. Here I am over a week and a 1/2 later and she has never come back. My leg actually opened up and bled, which would not have happened had she returned and done what she was supposed to do. My phone developed a virus. I got touch with them and let them know that even if someone didn't hear from me to please come because I am here and in desperate need. As far as I am concerned, this is the worst visiting nurses I have ever had and that is saying a lot!

Carlus Fuller was a wonderful health care aide. Carlus Fuller was an angel. He helped me with the care my brother during a difficult time. I appreciate him so much. I can't find the words to explain my gratitude. God bless VNA Health Hospice.

My father has had dementia over the past four years and has been placed on hospice from RWJ St Barnabus in connection with their VNA Program last year. The outstanding support we receive from the visiting nurses, supervising nurses, doctors, social workers and clinicians has been absolutely stellar and comforting. Our family is so grateful for all the personalized care and expertise. The Hospice Team meets regularly to discuss my father’s progress and challenges. They have been our weekly support and our overall safety net.

Waited over 10hrs for a nurse to come assess my father after having 2 seizures. Nurse was called at 8am & no visit as of 6:30pm. No urgency at all. Poor customer service. Deplorable nursing care. Called after hours number and waited for over 30 minutes for a call back. Very disappointed in the care delivered. Will not be returning to their service after another hospital readmission.
