I was told that I would have PT, OT, and a home nurse within 24 to 36 hours of leaving rehab that was on January 27. Today is February 5 and I still haven’t seen anyone to do any therapy and the nurse has been here twice to take my vitals I do not recommend this company

I currently have two family members in Brookdale Valencia. Before that, my uncle lived there for two years. It is modest, but wonderful. The staff and management are very responsive and friendly. I feel very grateful to have such a wonderful setting for my mother. My mother loves the food and enjoys the fact that she can have her two dogs with her.

I've had two friend's move here after deciding that they were no longer up to managing their own home. I find it a casual and welcoming place. Residents like it here, say the food is decent, and what is especially nice is that residents are allowed to bring their pets. I appreciate that the Brookdale accommodates people AND their animals. The downside? I took a look at the menu and it is nutritionally sparse... No/few vegetarian options, very little raw food, no ethnic foods, it's all "old american" (meat, cheese, white flour, cooked & canned veggies...) Just because someone is over 70 doesn't mean that they no longer need or want a tasty, nutritious meal! They need to bring their dietary standards and scope into the 21st century.
