"Nurse" Laney is abusive and a disgrace to the profession. Other caregivers have been OK, but this nurse has been impatient and verbally abusive to both of my parents on separate occasions. Shame on her!

PT and OT very good. Nurses, not so good. They will call you 7:00 PM and want to see you at 8 AM the next day. Get upset if you have other plans and tell you to cancel. Admin then tells you if you are able to make other plans you don't need them. If you get upset and raise your voice they will cancel your service and send nasty letters about you to your doctor and insurance. Would have given a lower rating if not for PT and OT staff.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEIR INITIAL ASSESSOR WAS RUDE. I HAD GIVEN HER SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PHONE ABOUT WHERE TO PARK, BUT WHEN SHE GOT HERE SHE REFUSED TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, THEREBY RISKING FRICTION WITH ME AND MY NEIGHBORS BECAUSE SHE PARKED IN SOMEONE ELSE'S SPOT. I ASKED HER TO MOVE TO MY PARKING SPOT AND SHE INITIALLY REFUSED, CONDESCENDINGLY DISMISSING ME BY SAYING THAT "IT WILL BE FINE" AND "THERE ISN'T A NUMBER ON THE PARKING SPOT," AS IF SHE WAS AN AUTHORITY ON OUR PARKING SITUATION HERE. (p.s. MOST OF THE NUMBERS ON MOST OF THE PARKING SPOTS ARE WORN OFF OVER YEARS OF LACK OF UPKEEP. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT NO ONE IS ASSIGNED TO THOSE SPOTS!) I DON'T KNOW WHERE SHE GOT THE IMPRESSION THAT SHE KNEW BETTER THAN I DO ABOUT WHERE SHE SHOULD PARK AT MY APARTMENT COMPLEX, BUT I INSISTED THAT SHE MOVE HER CAR. SHE KEPT WAVING ME OFF AND TELLING ME "IT WILL BE FINE," WHEN SHE HAS NO SUCH KNOWLEDGE. I CAME CLOSE TO TELLING HER TO LEAVE. LOOKING BACK ON IT NOW, I SHOULD HAVE FIRED THIS COMPANY AS SOON AS THIS HAPPENED. IT TOOK MANY DAYS BEFORE I HEARD FROM A PHYSITAL THERAPIST AT THE COMPANY ABOUT SETTING UP A P.T. APPOINTMENT BUT ONE PERSON AFTER ANOTHER WOULD CALL ME A FEW DAYS TO A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME ABOUT APPOINTMENTS BUT THEY WOULD NOT ACTUALLY WANT TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. THEY WANTED ME TO FREEZE MY ENTIRE CALENDAR FOR A WEEK OR MORE AND WAIT FOR THEM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS MOST CONVENIENT FOR THEM. I EXPLAINED THAT I NEED ADVANCE NOTICE. I HAVE A LOT OF APPOINTMENTS RIGHT NOW. THERE ARE A LOT OF IMPORTANT THINGS GOING ON IN MY LIFE AT THE MOMENT. THEY JUST REFUSED. THEY WANTED TO CALL ME AT THE LAST MINUTE, USUALLY THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY HAD DECIDED THEY WANTED TO SEE ME. BY THE TIME THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK, THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY WANTED TO SEE ME, I HAD ALREADY FILLED MY SCHEDULE WITH APPOINTMENTS. WHEN THIS WOULD HAPPEN, THEY WOULD TELL ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A DIFFERENT PHYSICAL THERAPIST AND THE ENTIRE CIRCUS WOULD START ALL OVER AGAIN. FIRST, THERE WAS THE RUDE ASSESSOR, AND THEN THERE WERE THREE DIFFERENT THERAPISTS THAT DID THIS TO ME! WEEKS WENT BY. CLEARLY, THE PATIENT IS NOT AT ALL IMPORTANT TO THESE PEOPLE. WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO THEM IS FILLING THEIR CALENDAR AT THE LAST MINUTE, IN A WAY THAT SUITS THEM, PERHAPS IN A WAY THAT LIMITS DRIVING AND SAVES THEM GASOLINE. WHAT I NEED IS AN AGENCY THAT CARES ABOUT ME AND IS IN SERVICE TO MY NEEDS. AT THE VERY LEAST THEY SHOULD BE POLITE. I DON'T NEED PEOPLE TO COME IN HERE AND PUSH THEIR WILL ON ME, PARKING WHEREVER THEY WANT AND GETTING ME IN TROUBLE WITH MY NEIGHBORS AND THE APARTMENT MANAGEMENT. I ALSO NEED THE COURTESY OF A FEW DAYS NOTICE IN WHICH TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. THEY SHOULD NOT JUST EXPECT ME TO KEEP MY ENTIRE WEEK TO TEN DAYS FREE FOR THEM AND WAIT FOR THEM TO FINALLY DECIDE WHEN THEY'RE GOING TO SHOW UP, THE NIGHT BEFORE! THEY WANT ME TO SACRIFICE MY ENTIRE LIFE FOR THEIR CONVENIENCE AND THIS IS NOT APPROPRIATE! THE REALLY ODD THING ABOUT IT IS THAT THIS IS A SMALL TOWN! I AM FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, ORIGINALLY, WHICH IS A HUGE PLACE WITH MASSIVE TRAFFIC. I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN, HERE IN ALBUQUERQUE, AND THE TRAFFIC, IN COMPARISON, IS NOTHING! YET THEY BEHAVE AS IF IT IS A HUGE BIG DEAL TO COME SEE ME UNLESS THEY ARE ALREADY IN MY NEIGHBOR ON THEIR PREVIOUS CALL. CLEARLY, THEY ARE TRYING TO BUILD IN AS MUCH CONVENIENCE FOR THEMSELVES AS POSSIBLE, AND TO SQUEEZE AS MUCH MONEY OUT OF THEIR DAY AS THEY CAN, BUT THE PURPOSE OF OUR RELATIONSHIP IS NOT SO THAT I CAN CATER TO THEM. I DID NOT CONTACT THEM BECAUSE I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE HEALTH OF THEIR BUSINESS AND WAS KEEN TO SQUEEZE MYSELF INTO THEIR BUSINESS MODEL! SERIOUSLY - WHEN DID SOCIETY GET SO DAMN ARTIFICIAL? I AM A HUMAN BEING WITH HUMAN NEEDS THAT DO NOT FIT INTO AN ARTIFICIAL BOX, AND THESE PEOPLE CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO GIVE ME 3 DAYS NOTICE FOR AN APPOINTMENT. I NEVER DID GET PHYSICAL THERAPY. I AM ABOUT TO CALL THEM AND FIRE THEM.

We have been thrilled with the home health therapy staff through Encompass Home Health! My Dad received care from all disciplines (OT, PT, and Speech) as well as a weekly nurse visit. All of the therapists have been kind, caring, and knowledgeable in treating my Dad. We were equally impressed with his nurse care and the set up process. So happy we made the decision to go with Encompass! Thank you!

I stayed for 12 days following surgery for a broken femur. Staff was excellent. Those in the cafeteria remembered you name. Nurses and nurse techs were lovely people. PTs and OTs were wonderful and I made progress enough to be released 3 days earlier because of meeting my goals. It is very noisy, though using ear plugs helped.
