I had the opportunity to use Lewis County General Hospital 🏥 for some specialized testing. I found the staff to be consistently friendly and compassionate with every patient. I also appreciated the professionalism of every staff member that I encountered during my testing visit. I found the facility to be clean, restrooms, etc.. It should be noted that I have worked in the healthcare industry for 27yrs in various capacities so I know what I should expect from ANY healthcare facility. I would highly recommend Lewis County General Hospital 🏥 for your healthcare needs. And as always take care

I am not from the area and was just on vacation when my accident happened. As a Black out-of-towner, I'm keenly aware of medical racism and how an ER trip to an unfamiliar, random hospital can be beyond anxiety inducing. Will they take my injury and my pain seriously? Will any biases cloud medical decisions? I've had this unfortunately happen to me in the past but none of that happened here. And I want to commend the hospital for that. I also want to send such a profound thank you to first responder Mr. Gokey. He was nothing else but a calm, consummate professional. I felt very safe with him as he patched me up to take me to the ER. He helped me so much with pain management, so the trip there was less horrific than it already was. At the hospital, the ER staff, hospital's orthopedic team, and the floor and OR nurses were absolutely wonderful during my stay. It was refreshing to meet friendly folks that took their jobs seriously, but can have also had a laugh with me, in-between waves of excruciating pain, about the ridiculousness of my accident. Every single one of the floor nurses who oversaw my care during my stay was so genuinely kind. They listened to any suggestions I had and did their best to keep me comfortable despite me being in absolute horrific pain. Thank you again for everyone's hard work and making feel safe and cared for. Also, since it was close to Christmas, I even had the fun privilege to be visited by a staff member dressed as an elf. He brought me to tears laughing and frankly, I needed that after that traumatic injury a few days before Christmas. Laughter is the great healer of all things. We need more of that in our lives. An extra extra special shout out to Dr. Kaplan and his operating team. If you need any orthopedic surgery, go to him. I went to NYU Langone Orthopedics back at home and they said his work was pristine and they would have wanted the post-surgery x-ray to look exactly like what he and his team did. I think that speaks volumes of Dr. Kaplan's experience and dedication to his craft. Thank you for literally putting me back together and setting me on the best possible path to recovery.

Lowville is fortunate to have Lewis County General Hospital. It’s a good facility and the majority of the people working there are professional and helpful. The radiology department is especially good. The members of the staff that work in that department are knowledgeable and helpful and compassionate. Emergency Room Services and staff are also a commendable service at LCGH. All in all, LCGH is a place to be recommended for good health care.

Had an unplanned visit to the er today for some stitches. Staff from the receptionist, nurses and PE were all super friendly pleasant and helpful. I was seen immediately. The care was thorough and detailed. Definitely the quickest visit to the er ever. Thank you all!

Speaking from experience working in a medical facility myself as an NA, I give these guys PROPS. My boyfriend’s Doctor was amazing (Dr. Buell) and was extremely understanding of him wanting to leave despite his pain and not being able to keep anything down. Dr. Buell helped a lot and ensured he was okay to go before he did. His nurses Mary and Dawn were absolutely amazing and his phlebotomist (I think her name was Juleanna) was excellent and a great poke as well. I appreciate everything the ED staff did to help us while also busy with things picking up today. Thank you Lewis County ❤️
