In my experience, AHC has been unprofessional, and I cannot recommend them as a healthcare service. When attempting to set up a service for me, the coordinator called her manager/supervisor. I don't think the supervisor realized that I could hear everything she was saying, because she was very rude and unprofessional when speaking about me. This was my very first encounter with anyone from AHC. They also had incorrect medical information listed for me, such as my diagnosis and medications. This did not inspire confidence, so I ended up turning down in-home services. However, I also wasn't able to get the special dressing supplies I needed from them -- I guess because I had turned down the in-home dressing change service? This has become a problem for me because I live over an hour from the hospital where I receive treatments and they expect AHC to be providing these supplies, pharmacies cannot fulfill prescriptions for the medical supplies I need (they can't bill insurance companies for them), and my local clinic (where I have been going for dressing changes) needs me to bring in my own supplies, My older friend in the same area as me coincidentally received a picc line at the same time as I did, and needed the same service as I did from At Home Care. AHC told him and his wife that they didn't have anyone to spare to come change his dressing once a week, which was very strange considering that AHC wanted to set up that same service for me at the same time. It seems fishy that they could spare someone for me, but somehow couldn't spare someone for a person who lives less than 10 minutes away from me. Hypothetically, I could have even driven to his house and the same person could have changed both of our dressings at the same. It was just very weird.
