Tried calling patient experience months ago because I was genuinely concerned for other parents and their children at this hospital (so don’t reply with the “please call this number where all calls go to die”) but I never heard back. However, I just received a bill for $12,000 (!!!!) from my “pediatric ER” visit for my 3 month old daughter back in July so ya lawyer better be good. Let’s begin. I told the doctor I was just sick days earlier and now my newborn daughter is running a fever and the pediatrician advised we go to the emergency room. Their “nurse” had to always call another “nurse” any time blood needed to be drawn or urine needed to be collected. Neither “nurse” was successful as I had to stand over my screaming newborn and my husband (who is a trained nurse at a real hospital) had to tell them we no longer consent to what they were doing. He also had to correct them as they were about to push air through her IV while flushing it. They had the nerve to be rude to us as they walked away totally incapable of doing their one job. After my newborn underwent that abuse from their “healthcare heroes” they decided maybe it was a virus since I literally lead with I was just sick so they did a simple nasal swab. Hours later (after no one ever checking my daughters temperature again and us needing to administer the Tylenol that we brought ourselves) it came back COVID. Surprise. After the ER doctor stated “so this is mom’s fault”, he then advised that we should alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen, at which point my husband told him she can’t have ibuprofen because she’s under 4 months, to which the Medical Doctor replied “oh yeah”. Also there was a dead roach in the room. $12,000!!!!!

Im here as I type waiting in the emergency room with my daughter. The condition of the emergency room waiting area is deplorable. The floors are filthy. The chairs have soiled linens left by patients. The smell of urine is strong. If I wasnt sick before getting here I most definitely will be now! I will never come back here! If im dying I will still try to find another hospital.

They traumatized both my mother and my sister when they were just trying to get my sister a physical check up back in august, as a gradual start to get her to recover with her mental health that she struggles with, just to make sure she was at least doing ok physically. They saw that she was having mental issues and INSTANTLY transferred her to the mental unit, where she had a previous horrifying experience. No questions asked, literally zero consent whatsoever, completely against their will, she was forced into the mental unit. They took their phones, their wallets, their keys, all their belongings. They forcibly took my sister’s phone from her whilst she was on the chair in a fetal position because of everything that was happening around her (screaming, banging, etc.) she had headphones in (probably listening to music to help her calm down) and then they had the audacity to gaslight the everliving hell out of my mom, saying a bunch of nonsense like “oh, she’s not having a mental breakdown, look at her, she’s nice and calm” while she was in a FETAL POSITION ON THE CHAIR. Not a single ounce of sympathy. I swear they got their PhD from a damn cereal box. They locked them in there for 8 HOURS where they witnessed all sorts of horrifying stuff and where my sister got re-traumatized, and even my mom got traumatized. My poor mother was only trying to get help for my struggling sister to get her back on track and get her life together again, and they just made it a billion times worse. They did all that, knowing that she was struggling with her mental health, knowing the potential effects that what they were doing would have on her, and knowing how fragile her mental state was, and now her and my mom’s relationship is worse than ever before. She trusted her, and after the horrifying incident at this place she yelled at her about how terrible of a person she is. There is no way she will ever trust her again. They both cried for days after. My mom even almost cried telling me this story over a month later. Not to mention now I’m actually worried sick about my sister because of this. They single-handedly tore my family apart. The monsters that run this wasteland should be condemned to the deepest core of hell for the way they borderline torture and dehumanize anyone they find to be even slightly mentally ill. Do better.

the worst. 12 hours pass, still haven’t seen a doctor in the emergency room. call a supervisor and then still don’t receive nothing. then shift change. to where Hillary come on shift and rips my curtain back. i tell her i discussed it with the nurse in the night how far i can close the curtain. she goes no. and rips the curtain out my hand. I go to call the supervisor back and Amanda, the most rudest employee there rips the phone cord out the wall so i can’t call the supervisor. and then has the nerve to tell me i already seen the doctor when i didn’t. she wasn’t even on shift to see who i spoke to and who i didn’t. she’s really nasty, boasting about herself that she’s the one who blocked my call. i tried to call the supervisor back hours later. some how they know im the one trying to contact the supervisor so my calls don’t go through. so i call back with one of my friends and they tried to speak for me while i was talking and the supervisor tells me i can’t call there anymore. that i’m abusing calling the supervisor when i wasn’t. the treatment i received was unfair. then the supervisor calls the emergency department back and tells them i was on the phone with her and arguing with my boyfriend and that’s not my boyfriend. this hospital constantly allows people information to be breached. and instead of telling the customer, they wait until long enough and say there was a data breach. so i can’t even be part of the process that offers and monetary gain for damages.

My daughter was taken to the emergency room and ended up staying for 3 days. The care she received was excellent. The doctor was amazing, and Nurse Tracy went above and beyond with compassion and professionalism. The pediatric unit was very clean, well-maintained, and the staff was highly trained. A huge compliment also goes to the food department — the meals were fresh, well-prepared, and made our stay much more comfortable. Thank you to everyone who cared for my daughter — we truly appreciate you!
