Customer service for the employees who answer calls is terrible. I called to speak with HR. Initially, when you call there is no HR transfer number that you can hit for the options so you get transferred to an operator. The operator that I spoke with was very rude. She didn’t even answer my questions before transferring my call. She just spoke very aggressively saying that, that was an HR matter and the next thing you know I was transferred, I wish I knew her name. Because of her, I had a terrible experience.

The nurse aide Shannon O’bien and Occupational Therapist Andrea Raphael were fantastic during our rehab. They were professional and thorough in assisting us during the difficult recovery process. Their warm and friendly attitude and willingness to help in any way was amazing. I am grateful for their help and we are giving them a five star review. Unfortunately I could not give the same review to the Rochester office Administrator of HCR as she is inconsiderate and does not care about the condition, progress, and needs of the patient in their ongoing evaluation.To her we give a one star. NEGLECTFUL, UNRELIABLE, AND AWFUL EXPERIENCE HCR Home Care was a disaster for my family. Many aides seemed neglectful—some arrived appearing hungover, one even smelled of alcohol and struggled to function, while others slept in the living room or their cars instead of caring for my bed-bound dad. In my view, their care was far below what he needed. The agency often left us hanging, with aides not showing up for his approved hours, sometimes with late notice or no warning at all, leaving him without support. The director’s actions added to our frustration—911 was called to our home when I saw no emergency (and EMTs didn’t either), my dad’s doctor was contacted repeatedly about issues I’d already handled, and Adult Protective Services got reports I considered unnecessary and unwarranted. It felt to me like a push to move him to a nursing home against our wishes. I ended up firing HCR after this ordeal. I’d warn anyone to think twice before trusting them with a loved one’s care—look elsewhere.
