Not enough nurses and they got billing personal problems. They can’t make it to work. They want you to do their job and they don’t listen to what your doctor tells them to do unprofessional.

Archcare Physical Therapy Valhalla,N.Y. Location. Waiting months for Insurance Company to Locate a Physical Therapy Agency within Network, than an additional Fourteen weeks for Archcare to accept Insurance Companies Proposal, an in home Evaluation was performed. A in home Twenty visit Twice a week schedule was accepted by the Agency. In the beginning stages of therapy which was performed with both a Physical and Occupational Therapists, Which gave me a inspiration of joy and hope that I would once walk again after a lower limb amputation, after a few sessions both Therapists Began to make me feel they had a lack of interest in accommodating my situation and needs, with my spouse noticing it and feeling the same. My spouse received phone call confirming next session and expressed to her that I was being discharged(Still unable to WALK.)only having eight sessions, no plan in the works to move forward getting me back on my feet, with deep concern Spoke with a Supervisor, NO ACTION TAKEN ON The Agencies PART, was Discharged without both Therapists never returning to my home and NOT signing any Discharge paperwork releasing me from their care, also my Pain Management Specialist was notified by Archcare that my Physical Therapy was Terminated and my Pain Management should be Reconsidered, Supervisor No better than their Therapists. May want to explore other Agencies before choosing Archcare! If the site would accept a minus star rating I would do so!!!!

The staff is EXCEPTIONAL. I cant really express my gratitude for everything they have done. The nurses and therapists are very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. We have had physical therapy, occupational therapy and nursing multiple times a week starting within days of her leaving the nursing home. Archcare has lined up all possible needs my grandmother may have incredibly quickly! There wasn't a person scheduled today and my grandmother had an issue with her drain tube dressing and they had a nurse come out to fix it within a couple hours of it being brought up, even tho they were coming the following day. The social worker that may work for Archcare was on top of everything. Archcare has gone above and beyond for my 91 year old grandmother.

I had a very complicated reconstruction and knee replacement surgery. Archcare sent me a physical therapist, Michael who was wonderful. He pushed me, but not too much and got me going on my way to recovery. Because of his help and guidance I am now 4 weeks post op and back to work part time! Doctor is amazed at how well my recovery is going and I beleive it all has to do with Michael....thank you!

I write the following complaint so that another person does not get cheated by this company. I was scheduled to have surgery that required aftercare: help with bathing/dressing, shopping/cooking, cleaning/laundry, and transportation. Archcare was on the list of agencies in network with my provider. Upon calling I requested to speak with a manager, something I often do so that I am ensured accurate information. The manager assured me that Archcare could take my case and that I would receive home care within 2-3 days after coming home and on the days and hours I required. All of this wound up being false. First, I arrived home Thursday, the day after my surgery; a nurse was supposed to arrive early Friday morning to get the paperwork submitted so that an aide could be assigned to me by Sunday—Monday at the latest. She did not come until late afternoon. Not only did this delay the submission of the paperwork to the insurance company until Monday, thus delaying my receiving an aide until Wednesday, it also interfered with my family’s Sabbath preparations. Second, the nurse told me that I would only get an aide mid-morning or mid-afternoon weekdays only. I told her that I had been assured earlier morning hours and/or evening hours, which was when I required assistance. Not only did she refuse to acknowledge my time requests, but she also refused to submit my request for weekend homecare, insisting that my insurance did not cover this—but it does, and the insurance company had contacted Archcare to let them know. Now, because she had arrived so late in the day, it was too late to call a supervisor at Archcare or my insurance company. In addition, I had a mild fever: This nurse told me she would check up on me the next day, but I never heard back from her. First thing Monday morning I called Archcare only to find out that the original manager I had spoken with was no longer with the company and had not passed on my case information to the new manager. This manager said she would put in for weekend care but could do nothing about the hours. I was home 7 days post-surgery before I got the call that a nurse was coming with the aide who had been assigned to me. Once again, I was told that insurance would not cover weekend care (even though I could prove the opposite) and that early morning or evening hours were not an option. She also stated that the aide could not provide any transportation for me either. The intake nurse had also put in for physical therapy and social services. The physical therapist called to make an appointment, but until I saw the doctor for my one-week post-op checkup, there was no point in her coming. She said she would call me back after the appointment, and she did, but the time she gave me was not good. She said she would call to reschedule but never did. Social services called the one day when an aide came; I asked the woman to call back, but she never did. All this was supposed to be coordinated by Archcare—and it wasn’t. At one point, when I was having a medical issue, the Archcare on-call nurse even told me that I was too far away for anyone to come help me. I spoke with the manager several times trying to straighten things out. I explained that I was not receiving consistent callbacks from services I’d been assigned and that the problem of getting the days and hours I needed was still not resolved, but she kept on skirting the issues. Instead, she blamed me for not being flexible with my schedule, and the insurance company for not getting the hours I need or authorizing weekend care; finally, after several conversations, she told me that the real reason I could not get the hours that I needed is that they can only send aides during the hours their office is open, which is from 9am to 4:30pm. At this point, it seemed my only recourse was to cancel services with Archcare. Overall, my experiences with Archcare showed them to be irresponsible and negligent. Do NOT use this agency.
