North Shore is an organization interested in giving you supplies and services you did not order. When you go to return or cancel get set for a big run around. When hospital recommends services to help you, do not sign anything.

This is in my view one of the worst care facilities in Westchester. The care was terrible across the board, even though one would think it would depend on the persons giving care. I have had much better luck with 3 other facilities I have used. Moreover, the recordkeeping and paperwork appear to me to be inadequate and the invoicing appears atrocious. Just one example: I received a bill for a service rendered on one day over a year before from a collection agency, even though I have never received an invoice from the facility and have paid all other medical bills not covered by insurance. When I checked, it turned out that the amount was wrong. in the end, the bill was less than $60! My guess is that the use of a collection agency cost more than that, and a single phone call could have corrected this. I will never use this facility again.

Make sure you receive and review all paperwork. It is repeatedly transferred, but rarely corrected. Make sure you receive properly dated paperwork that is completely filled out. Do not let them talk over you as you express concerns or ask questions on the phone. Make sure you review care plan and medications list they provide. There is lots of room for error and miscommunications.
