Excellent service until my father pulled the foley cath out. Orders to re-establish care when contract ran out went unrecognized. Tried for three/four weeks having both doctors send additional orders and Amedysis claimed they never received. I called them several times to no avail. Finally primary care doctor reached a nurse there who told her they wont come back due to father pulling it out. He is in final Alzheimers stage. Now the Urologist Dr. Rothman wont return my calls. I am left on my own finding someone to change the foley 8 weeks after his release from hospital. Very unprofessional company

Amedisys comforted my mom (and me) for a year before she recently passed. She was in an assisted living facility the whole time. Even during Covid, they managed to get in and assess her and give guidance to the staff at the facility. They were wonderful and they updated me frequently. At the end, they were there every step of the way, providing a specialized bed, proper meds and advice for me and the staff. I couldn't have asked for more and their staff was friendly, proactive and professional. I was lucky to get the advice from a friend to engage Hospice well ahead of the last days - they're not just for the very end, but for the last months to maximize health and build a relationship. Very happy with Amedisys!

PT and OT therapists and assistants are phenomenal! They provide great care with realistic goals. However, the support staff is lacking. Because Medicare requires that home health agencies take over medical supplies that are mail ordered, we must get them through Amedisys. There is always a problem with these orders. Multiple changes in Mgmt have not resolved the issues. We stay with Amedisys because of the outstanding therapy they provide. But, my patience is running out.

This is by far the best agency I've ever dealt with. They are on time they are very polite and very courteous. Really really nice people. I have dealt with a lot of agencies over the years. My mom recently needed care at home and I am very grateful for all that they do. Our nurse is very knowledgeable and kind. Her therapist really help get her back on her feet and moving around. I would recommend them to anyone that has a family member in need.
