My husband was in Hospice care in Kannapolis NC prior to his death on 10/28/2025 @9:30 am. He received excellent care while there. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the billing department. I received a bill for 4 days @$225 per day. I can't believe I was charged for the full day of 10/28/25. After a short phone call to the billing department I asked why I was charged for a full day and the response was "because he was still there" One would think a little compassion would take precedent over the almighty dollar!

I wanted to publicly thank the people at the Tucker house for showing my mother in law the dignity and respect she deserves in her last days. Let's face it. It's not an easy thing to watch as a loved ones health detieriates and they need help. The staff at The Tucker house gave my mother in law her dignity back and showed her compassion and respect until she passed. These guys are top notch and I very seldom recommend anyone or any thing, but I feel compelled to make everyone aware of this team and how they handle someone else's loved ones. Truly exceptional.

My mother Mary spent her last 18 days here and was treated with compassion and dignity. I will forever be thankful for Melissa, Brett, Megan and the rest of the nurses that cared for her. This place allowed my mother to fall gracefully and peacefully

I am so grateful for the care and support here. Everyone here, the doctors and nurses, staff and facilities personnel, have been wonderful, from the at home nurse staff visits, the social workers support, to The Tucker House, my sister has been well cared for, and our family has been given so much support. The grounds are lovely, with each room having a step out patio. The rooms are cleaned daily and are very comfortable. There is a family room and a chapel and chaplain as well. All of our questions and concerns have been addressed with understanding. I have been able to breathe easier, having my sister in a lovely place, with caring people. I highly recommend The Tucker House.

I don’t even know where to start. I would score 0 stars if it was possible. The treatment of my grandmother and family members was absolutely unprofessional, disingenuous, and frankly quite concerning. I understand that patient population this staff is used to was much different than the circumstances we brought in for a RESPITE STAY. But we clearly communicated the circumstances of this patient in particular and were simply treated like we didn’t know what we were talking about, and my grandmother came there to die. And had we not continued to voice our concerns and make demands, she very well may have. I have a healthcare background of almost a decade and have been deeply involved with my grandmothers care for almost 2 years. I know what I’m talking about and I don’t appreciate being treated and spoken to like I don’t. In my opinion, this facility is fulfilling the stigma that revolves around all hospice organizations and is controversially referred to as “the place that medicates you until you pass”.My voice and concerns need to be heard so that this facility can do some sensitivity training with their nursing staff, the providers, and the administration. As well as a revision of ethics. At this point I am questioning every single opinion I receive and I do not have confidence in this organization at all. Lastly, I would like to note that the photos I posted with this review contain urine, that had fallen and collected under the fall mat placed next to my grandmothers bed. This is just a scratch on the surface of the “care and compassion” shown to my grandmother. Who is a living breathing saint, by the way. I hope to speak with the highest paid titles of this organization to look them in the eye and tell them how we were treated.
