Liberty Hospice has been a lifesaver for my Mother and our family. There are many people who are actively working to understand our needs and what is best for Mom. Amecia Gordon did a great job of getting the initial paperwork and hospice placement in the Bloomsbury at Hayes Barton Place set up. The first day Kehinde Peralte showed up and explained how it works and she continues manage the various components of care. We also appreciate Mayvelyn Ramos for her several times a week visits and update calls to keep me calm and in touch with the status of Mom's vitals and medical issues. This group is a wonderful group of people that serve many people and do so with a smile and kindness.

I found Liberty Hospice just by googling hospice agencies. My family was previously working with an agency that was not providing the best of care for our loved one. I called Liberty Hospice to explain the situation and the request to switch agencies. The RN administrator was super nice and understanding. Within hours we had an RN and Social Worker show up to the home to do an intake for services. Though my grandmother was only on their service for a few days, the care Liberty Hospice provided had a profound impact on my family and I. All of the staff members were compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. Their excellent services allowed my family and I an opportunity to grieve knowing that we were supported and our loved one was well taken care of. I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend Liberty Hospice.

My father and I had a complicated relationship—family only does complicated—but at the foundation there was deep love and warmth and joy. I was his favorite and he was mine. Imagine my horror when the cancer came back and I was stuck on the other side of the country dealing with my child’s emergency. The caregivers at Liberty Hospice were my only connection and resource. They not only took care of my dad and his wife, but they also took care of me long distance. Their support, understanding, and helpfulness were a bright spot during a difficult time and they made the situation slightly more bearable.

I wouldn't wish the care of these clowns on no one. I beg you don't do this to your loved one . They will assist you in overdosing your loved one, lie to you and they don't come to your home as told only by phone. Now if you had a good experience luck was on your side. I live my life everyday thinking that I overdosed my father per their instructions. Wish I had of known what they were doing to him . Thank God for the comfort given by Hospice in Pittsboro N.C, thank God the charge nurse recorded alot of stuff when my father was admitted there. Even he was not happy with thim. Told us stuff that should not have occurred. My father passed away two days after he arrived. None of the medications that they had given us were used or needed I was told he had plenty . Liberty wanted to come and get the meds that were unused from my mother's home. They stated later on that we were instructed to use coffee grounds to dispose of the rest in his reports I requested. This is just a little of what we went through and I hope you reading this will think twice before you trust them with your loved one. I loved my father and I hurt everyday thinking that the care we thought we were getting for him was so hidden in a bad way. Save yourself the sorrow I feel everyday and from what I was told to do now knowing it definitely was not. 😭😭😭😭

Terrible Hospice Care! Hospice care is a specialized care focused on the comfort of your loved one and support of the family. Liberty Hospice out of Wendell did neither! Phone calls were not returned; the nurse was neither sufficiently trained to provide comfort to my Mother nor to support the family! Promises were not kept. THANKFULLY I fired them the morning before my Mother passed!!! Transistions LifeCare showed up at my home on Friday afternoon at 4:00 By 5:20 a crisis care nurse arrived who treated my Mother with tender care and was able to medicate her as she should have been. The correct medications gave my Mother the comfort she needed to pass on. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIBERTY HOSPICE Beth N.
