Google Review Five Stars My wife and I are beginning our eighth year in a garden home at St. Leonard and we couldn’t be happier. Our home has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living-dining room, an updated kitchen and laundry room and a two-car garage. We share a den with four windows and a door that leads to a pleasant patio. We are blessed with a dedicated maintenance man who responds quickly. The staff is professional and friendly. Our home-away-from home is the Franciscan Center, which has the highly-regarded Station House restaurant and a well-equipped fitness room with a swimming pool and exercise classes. First and foremost for me, though, is the peace of mind knowing that my wife will be well cared for.

We live here in an independent living garden home. I enjoy having staff to call upon for home maintenance without having to pay extra. Most of all, I enjoy the many activities here on campus - it’s impossible to get bored here. The campus is well-maintained and the wooded walking paths are wonderful. It’s easy to get to know fellow residents, including those with interests similar to mine. It’s good to know that St. Leonard’s can accommodate its senior citizens in whatever health situations they find themselves.

We’ve been here 4 months, and everyone we’ve met has been truly wonderful. Our neighbors welcomed us right away, and every event (there are so many fun opportunities ) we’ve participated in has brought us more friendships and laughter. The staff is amazing, very accessible and helpful. It’s a blessing to have all household and yard maintenance done for us. Great place to be - so glad we made this choice!

My parents moved to St. Leonard’s over 20 years ago. Mom totally enjoyed her life here until she died in 2019. Dad is still thriving in this community and would not want to be anywhere else. They both treasured this community and the constant support of the dedicated people who make this place a wonderful home for each level of care required.

I wasn’t going to write a review but someone close to me was picking rehab facilities based on what she thought were honest reviews of rehab and nursing facility - that can be dangerous. So I am writing an honest review for St. Leonard’s and St. L Skilled Nursing & Rehab. My mother in law lived at St. Leonard’s in various facilities for 10 years she was a devout Catholic who thought that would protect her. Assisted living where there was very little assistance at all and not much living. Prices high, rooms small, 1 nurse to 3 floors of elderly assisted living residents was not a good situation, over worked/underpaid aides. Transient aides who came and went with elderly residents missing valuables perhaps a coincidence? Perhaps not but we will never know because it is allowed to happen. Now “skilled” nursing and rehab yet another facility where not enough nurses to patient ratio, patients left to sit for hours in their filth, complaints of illness ignored such as heart failure, sepsis and pain. Walk completely around the facility not just rehab which is in one hall - it has a nice appearance, the chapel along the hall appears nice - - walk completely around and the smell of urine and feces well knock you down where the residents live. Alive at Christmas dead by Jan 23. High cost does not always warrant high praise.
