Never even got in, the people who are supposed to answer calls about appointments and insurance were as helpful as a dull knife, my wife tried to get some info and was met with hostility and being mistreated when she was trying to get clarification on something and the run around instead of courtesy, I hope someone important sees this and does something about the awful ladies ( four different individuals)who she spoke with. Why they wanted to speak over her and not to hear is a poor example of the staff employed there!

The lack of communication at least in my experience is staggering. Phone calls go to voicemail. Which get returned 1-2 days later. And generally it doesn’t answer your question. My first in person follow up after surgery (happening as I type this) is another cluster@!?/. I called me this week changing my appointment by 1 hour. I said sure. No problem. I get here at 1045 for my 1130 appointment. It’s 12:16 and they forgot to get my X-rays because they had them scheduled on the old time. So now. More waiting. All the while I have a 230 appointment at there Kentucky office to get an injection. And I live 3 hours away. Was never told exactly what was happening in my surgery by the doctor. Was never told about the possibilities of them not being able to complete part of this (which the didn’t complete all of it). I am sure the Doctor is highly competent. But the communication here is a mess.

Dr. DiNapoli treated performed fusion on L4-L5. I have had back pain for years, but was able to manage it with steroid injections, and ablation. By the time those no longer worked, I contacted Mayfield Brain and Spine. The Doctor Who I wanted to see, was retiring, so I chose Dr. DiNapoli. I first saw his PA who immediately ordered x-rays and made an appointment for me to see the doctor. Surgery was scheduled, and although I was in pain longer than I anticipated, I no longer have any pain at that site. This was like a new lease on life for me as I have had pain there for 20 years. I would highly recommend Dr. DiNapoli.

As a patient with Mayfield for the past 15 plus years and 4 surgeries on my lumbar spine, I have to say they their customer service is terrible! They do not care about their patients. I scheduled an appointment and naturally I understand it’s not going to be a same day appointment. However, being in extreme pain I called back several days after initially scheduling and explained that I am in extreme pain and nearly unable to walk. Wanting to inquire about possible openings same day due to cancelations or etc. Figured I could help them fill an opening and they help me by getting me in sooner! but Instead of a nice and professional explanation which one would expect to get and maybe even an attempt to check for sooner appointments. I was rudely advised they do not offer same day appointments, that they aren’t an emergency dept. or urgent care. That their Dr’s need time to review patient info before being seen. That’s just BS and we all know they hardly review our charts but right before coming into the room. I very disappointed in the customer service and will be finding another spine facility.

I agree their ancillary staff must have come from the DMV. The main problem i have is that they don't tell you that they don't have any financial aid up front. I was unable to schedule an appointment because I had an outstanding balance of a whopping $43 standing in the way to my pain relief! I'm a 59 year old disabled nurse (former essential worker - as if!) I lost everything when it took 2 1/2 years to get disability! The $43 apparently is my copay+fee because it was sent to collections! In that appointment, the doctor never even say down! He doesn't deserve $43! And he will never get it from me!
