Ever since Buckeye switched transportation outfits it's been shit. I don't normally use foul language in reviews, but it's gotten to the point where I can no longer contain my frustration regarding it. Today alone my transportation was canceled with no prior notice and it wasn't until I called to learn this. I even called the night before to confirm the god damn ride was confirmed, and what the vendor name was. You need to do better or I'm going to switch.

Buckeye health plan used to be a good managed care plan up until they changed their ride services that left me in Logan ohio with no way back home..

They list providers that have been out of existence for years. For example, sending me to the address of a middle school (and giving me the same address a year later) when I needed an urgent care, giving me multiple dentists at a location when the receptionist said the most recent left two years prior, that dentist office confirmed that they had ZERO providers in-network (on a list of ten or so dentists provided by AMbetter I found zero in-network that day, eventually I found 1 in my area), and it just goes on. They have refused to pay for covered services at in-network facilities several times. They can not find an in-network facility for basic lab services within 35 miles of my home address. I'm no expert or lawyer but the shortcomings seem egregious and perhaps on a scale that could be considered fraudulent. I have wasted hours trying to get what I'm supposed to from Ambetter. Their solutions often involve me doing the labor on their behalf and risking the costs if they decline. I will NEVER renew coverage with them.

My son was getting Buckeye. And it was AWFUL. THE ACTUAL.WORST.. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. You know an insurance company is TERRIBLE when the doctors say CHOOSE ANY ONE OTHER THAN THAT ONE. And they arent lying. They reel people in with promises of covering all your needs and even offering so called rewards for things like annual physicals and flu shots. Except they never give you the rewards. Everytime my son had a yearly physical he was supposed to get a $75 credit for a store like Walmart. But they would bill it as a regular office visit so he wouldn't get the rewards. They just dont pay it and thats the end. They also deny anything and everything like cat scans..mri's and dermatologists. Everyone I know that was forced to know they exist has had issues with them. If you have a choice DO NOT CHOOSE BUCKEYE HEALTH PLAN.YOU WILL REGRET IT. TRUST ME. And if youhave to have a Medicaid pla ..chooose Caresource. 100% the best option.
