My family was put in an unimaginable situation when we had to place my 50 year old brother on hospice less than a month after he received a cancer diagnosis. Mandy was nothing short of a godsend. From driving out to Cleveland Clinic on a snowy Friday evening to meet us, to offering continuous support and resources as everything evolved and developed, to making sure Matt could pass peacefully at his daughter's home. The clincher was that it wasn't even Mandy's location that could provide services for Matt - she was still taking care of our family knowing this, and ensured a smooth and seamless handoff to her sister company. We will forever be grateful for Mandy and the Heartland Team for their support in my brother's final days.

Bad experience. The bottom line is my moms agitation and pain were not managed properly. My family and I did not receive guidance, education or most surprisingly, compassion from Heartland Hospice. Apparently, the staff was in turmoil and leaving the company. We were not told that Heartland Hospice had recently been sold and in transition until our complaints were made. Our family was caught in the middle and my dying mom is the one that suffered the consequences. We should have been able to sit by my moms side and hold her hand in peace knowing she was comfortable. That did not happen until we switched to a different Hospice company.
