If you are looking to bring a loved one home after a stroke, this company is not recommended. I called the day of discharge to get things set up, and it took four days for the nurse to show up for the assessment. Another two days for the physical therapist to show up for an assessment. The first day the aide was scheduled she did not show up. When we called they said we were not on the schedule. At that point I started working on getting my husband in to assisted living where I knew his care would be taken seriously, and physical therapy would be timely. There was a lapse of eleven days after hospital discharge with no therapy due to the lack of urgency on Mercy Compassus's part. This is unacceptable! Time is of the essence after a stroke. Get your loved ones the care they deserve.

The medical equipment part of this Is way too expensive plus if you take it back early they still charge it for the whole month it's like kicking somebody when they're down

They don't call, as requested. They don't show up as scheduled. One of the nurses, several times, said we were "those kind of people", whatever that meant. Used the after hours call line, nurse was great. It was the night before a scheduled visit. No one called or showed up. Absolutely NO follow up call; the reason for my call warranted a follow up, nothing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this service!!!

Unprofessional. Rude. No compassion. My grandma receives their services to help manage her suprapubic catheter. She is otherwise independent (pays her own bills, makes grocery lists, manages her doctors’ appointments, takes care of her home, etc.). The nurse came in for her scheduled visit and accused my grandma of being incompetent, told her that her family “should be taking care of her,” and on the way out the door told my grandma that she was going to call her primary care provider and tell him that she was not able to live independently. Absolutely disgusting for any human to behave this way, let alone a “professional.” Avoid this home health group.
