All of my drivers have been so thoughtful, caring, and Juan has gone out of his way on multiple occasions to ensure that I arrive to my appointments on time. My drivers have also tried as hard as they could to pick me up quickly after an appointment was completed so that I did not have to wait a long time.

I live out-of-state and need temporary assistance with my home-bound 97-year old father for about 2-1/2 weeks until I arrived and we were going to make the assisted-living decision. Until then, family in town were visiting twice daily. When he'd spent the night on the floor after a fall, I'd decided we needed 16-24 hours care until I arrived. Paula was great at getting staff into the house within the day! My family members stopped in the told me a questionable actions which I reported to Paula and also made notes to the care-givers which were put into the on-site notebook. Everyone has their habits and idiosyncrasies. Mostly, my father would deny needing anything...food, drink, wet clothing, bedding which was dirty...maybe pride, maybe embarrassment or just not wanting to 'bother'. I made notes to offer not ask. He had prepared meals delivered daily which would be found sitting on the counter an need to be thrown away. His bedding was found dirty and didn't get changed until it was pointed out....etc. Then, dad was found in the kitchen by the most competent employee, Nakita, as she was arriving for her shift. He was sitting on his rolling walker slumped over on the stove/counter with his head on his arm. His speech was slurred, he was confused and weak. She made the decision to call the office and my cousin (thankfully). My COUSIN gave her the instruction to push the call button and get the paramedics. Dad was admitted to the hospital with EXTREME DEHYDRATION! I though he'd had a stroke! No stroke at all. They suspected an infection, no infection was found. This was INCOMPETENCE. With instructions specifically to offer him continued juices, sodas, popsicles, and water, how did this happen?! Thankfully, after three days of IV fluids, he was discharged and moved into assisted care where I feel very comfortable he's getting the care he needs now...around the clock and, this isn't about money, but less than what I was paying for the utter inept service.
