The Ridge management have left their residents with no hot water for over a week with below freezing temperatures. The residents were told to MAIL a letter to management. When the emergency maintenance was called, in Michigan when the facility is located in Ohio. The person who answered for maintenance said they didn't know how to fix it and she would needs to call someone out. Two days later, no phone call, nothing has been fixed and no notification that someone was scheduled to address the situation. On another note, the maintenance staff complained about having to empty the trash bins in the trash room, so the manager informed the residents that the seniors will need to take their trash outside to the dumpster. I would NOT recommend the facility to anyone else until management and maintenance practice HUD and Ohio laws.

Don't expect the food to be good. They post a menu that residents can pick foods from and sound good on paper. But what shows up on the stream table is way different than what they say they are serving. Tonight, the Pork Snitzel was not served. Only has a chicken salad or egg salad sandwich. There was a chicken patties option, but the chicken was not cooked. The staff would not serve it. Buttered egg herb were just noodles in a clear liquid. No red cabbage as offered. Instead, soggy green beans with carrots. No cheesecake with strawberry topping. Only a little cup of chocolate ice cream no other flavors. No potato soup. No soup at all. They put forth a big show, but do not honor most of what they promise. Update - They also do not serve the food in a manner the resident can eat it. Do not cut up items so the resident can eat them when resident can not cut up themselves. Even though their food ticket states to "Cut up all food" . Also, the ticket states to "Serve desert in a scoop bowl" - so the resident doesn't just push the item off onto the table. They continue to serve it on a paper plate. Repeated requests to have food cut up go unfulfilled. Requests to give resident a table spoon to eat with, most often the resident just gets regular silverware that she can't eat with properly. They OFTEN run out of food to serve. We are told "We don't have any". The resident then is offered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. These issues all occurs in the Nursing Care side and the Assisted Living side dining room get food. I have gone over to the Assisted Living dining room and asked for food to take to the Nursing Care resident. I have also had to ask for them to go find a table spoon to give to the resident so the resident can eat. Food is OFTEN cold. Example - rather than fill each residents food order and have the aid give it to a resident, the steam table server will fill soup bowls and sit them on top of the counter over the food area. They get cold. They get served lukewarm or cold. Maybe hire a new dietician !!!! Does he get a bonus if he comes in under budget for the month?? This all occurs at Genacross Wolfcreek in Toledo/Holland, Ohio

My mother was released from there yesterday.. She is unable to stand any longer.. Can't walk.. Cant even wipe herself.. Can't do anything she use to do. Has wounds on behind and upper thighs, all the way around, looks as tho she sat In urine. Very disapointed with this outcome. I truly thought this was what she needed. The communication was horrible!!! This facility is in Napoleon. If we knew she wasnt going to get the care she needed she would have NEVER went there. Yes the hospital wasnt any good either. No one even explained why she had no dressing on her stage 2 ulcer. Extremely upset by this! We had to ask why she didnt even have water in her room!

Their youth and family program is absolutely amazing! The staff is awesome and show that they really care about the kids. They have no idea how grateful I am for them and what they've done and continue to do for my autistic son.
