Horrible company. Do not use! The reason I started using Carter was because my provider's office used them exclusively. I'm working with my provider to see if his office can start using a better company. His patients deserve better. I utilized Carter for CPAP machine/accessories. The first few months, I rarely could get anyone on the phone. When I did get through to them, I was told that it was due to staff turnover. I struggled to get CPAP supplies from them. When I did get them, they were oftentimes the wrong CPAP supplies for my machine. Even worse, when I called (and would actually get through to a person) I was told that it was due to turnover. I ask for someone in leadership to call more than once. That finally happened and I was assured the supply piece had been fixed. The very next shipment of supplies was not for my machine yet again. I called them and ask to be removed from all mailing, phone calls, and that I would take my business elsewhere. I also ask them about my account being zeroed out, as I didn't want to hear from them ever again. I was assured it was. I still received frequent robocalls for supplies. I called again and ask for my number to be removed from their call list. I still continued to receive calls. Most recently I received an invoice (mailed on June 24th, 2025) with a due date of July 14th, 2025. The date of service was October 25th, 2024! I called and ask about it, and also ask yet again for my number to be removed from their robocall list. I was assured that would happen yet again. It took three phone calls and still no explanation (from the head of billing) why I received an invoice eight months after the date of service. She told me she didn't have access to that information and again, cited turnover. As a healthcare professional, I absolutely can't recommend this company for your healthcare needs. Clearly, the patient is not top of mind. The billing is horrible, and the customer service is even worse. I switched to a company called Rotech and have had nothing but a great experience. I haven't received robocalls, and I've never had to contact them for any errors. I get my supplies on time, every time. The billing is quick and error free.

Ordered supplies on 7/13 and 8/13. Never received any of them. Called 9/11 to find out what was going on and was told that the orders were in the system, they were just never filled and sent out but they would take care of it right away. Please call again if I didn't receive them in 5 to 7 days....CALL AGAIN IF I DON'T RECEIVE THEM? No apology, no expression of empathy, no sympathy, nothing! Just, call again if I don't receive the stuff.....There will not be another call to your company. Just to my insurance company advising them of the problem and I'll start using another company.
