LONG READ BUT WORTH IT! After 20 years and 4 Home Health Care Agencies, we have finally found our dream caring facility! Elara Caring is fulfilling every health care need for my Nan. ELARA CARING REPRESENTATIVE James visited Nan while in rehabilitation. He treated her with respect, coming back a week later to check on her, even though we hadn’t decided on using Elara Caring, yet. He phoned me and I was able to discuss Nan’s medical and wound care needs extensively with him. He assured me that her needs would be met and Elara Caring staff would work along side me to assure she would receive the best nursing care. ELARA CARING ASSESSMENT They immediately came out and assessed her when she arrived home from the rehabilitation facility. Julie, who first assessed Nan, was thorough and professional. She had a welcoming smile and gave encouragement to Nan that helped lift her spirits about this journey in healing. ELARA CARING! Since the first visit, Ali, our nurse, comes into our home and cares for Nan as if she were family. Nan looks forward to seeing her and Ali has uplifted her, giving her hope that she will get better. James and Julie were absolutely right about excellent care. When Ali, comes to change dressings and do vitals, she is professional and kind. She checks Nan from head to toe, assuring that all her health needs are addressed. Ali always asks Nan about her pain, if she is feeling well and genuinely shows she cares about Nan’s health. She also talks directly to Nan, not over or around her. Ali also talks with me concerning changes in care, supply needs and overall health of Nan since her last visit. This is so important, since I care for Nan 24/7. She orders the correct supplies to care for her wounds, and provided enough supplies so I don’t run out. EARLIER FACILITIES Not one facility has done this in the past. I was always running out of wound care supplies and would have to order them myself or find a drug store that carried what I needed, on the spur of the moment, because the facility either couldn’t order or the orders would be forgotten. MY RECOMMENDATION Elara Caring has been the best thing to happen to us in over a year, while trying to heal her this set of wounds. I highly recommend Elara Caring for any home health care needs. They are professional, kind, and care for their patients. They treat Nan with dignity and understanding, so she now feels confident in her nursing care.
