Can’t say enough good things about Shannon Malloy-Stockton…she’s the aide that comes to our home from Compassus to bath my husband three times a week. She’s caring and takes the time to care for he’s need’s. ALWAYS after his bath, he sooo relaxed that he sleeps comfortably the rest of the day! Thank you, Shannon

I highly recommend Compassus Hospice. I have utilized them twice in the last two years. In October 2022 we used the Vinita office and in January 2025 the Tulsa office. Donna, the bath aide in from the Vinita office was the best thing on Earth! Her compassion was above and beyond each and every time. She took care of my grandmother with most compassionate care and could get her do things that no one else could. In January, Kiersten, the admission nurse, and Roger, the chaplain, were the only two we had the honor of meeting as my mom passed the same day of admission. Kiersten recognized my mom was in significant distress and that she did not have long. Because of this, Kiersten expedited mom's meds to help her gain comfort she had not had in days. This also helped my distress as well. To see my mom in such agony was more than I could bear. After mom passed, Kiersten helped me get mom ready for the funeral home, provided much needed support, and asked if wanted a chaplain. I accepted. Roger was here within 30 minutes of receiving the call. Roger prayed over mom, helped me laugh a little and take my mind of the situation, a relief I needed very much. Roger stayed with us until the funeral home arrived and escorted my mom out. I am ever so grateful to all the staff from both Compassus admissions that took care of my grandmother and mom.

Where to begin? My partner passed away today from a long battle with prostate cancer. But, from the first day, I was met with those that made clear that they were here to take care of my dying partner and make his passage as comfortable as possible. It started with my partner being lucid and able to talk with his caregivers, but as time rolled, his health declined. They didn't skip a beat other than seeing his discomfort and adjusting their care. That meant a lot to me. And believe me, I had a hawk eye on them. I was quickly reassured when I noticed that the only change was in how they quickly saw his situation and how they adjust to it. They would talk to him- first asking him if he was in any pain- and then recommend to me how to address what would ease whatever pain he was in. When it came to his cleanliness, I must admit that it was hard for me to carry out what needed to be done. But my angst was quickly resolved. Compassus wants all of their patients to be cared for medically, socially and spiritually. I could write a book on how happy I am with the care that my partner received but there's no need to. If you want care with compassion for your loved one, then I highly, HIGHLY, recommend Compassus. I would like to make note of those that made my partners passing easier: Jody(you know why) Jennifer Brittain Roger Joe They showed so much care when taking care of my partner. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart!

Yesterday it was 2 weeks since my sister had bladder cancer surgery and has a urostomy bag that no one has ever dealt with it seems like and we have had 1 visit from 1 nurse…. Right now my sister is laying on her bed with pee leaking from her bag we are almost out of supplies only like 3 bags left and no adhesive to hold them on… she has a rash now from having to change the bag so many times in 2 weeks… and I want to scream she is special needs and doesn’t understand all this going on. This is ridiculous when someone goes home on hospice the supplies beat them to the door but it takes two or three days for supplies for this??? Very frustrated

My mom, 89 years old was discharged from St. John's Hospital in down town Tulsa with home health from St. John's Home Health on a Thursday evening. I used to work for a home health agency and I know they have nurses on the weekends but no one ever called.
