I'm 71 an RN living in assisted living facility and needed RN, PT, OT. The RN suggested I just have Hospice and give up. She is ten years younger than me. She drew blood and left. The supervisor of Physical therapist was very late to see me. When I asked this young person of about 25 if he could have phoned me, he snapped "why do you have some place to go?" Then he repeated his statement 🙄 He proceeded to tell me no pain no gain. That hasn't been around since I was a young RN. He attempted to "educate me" about how to force myself in walking further distances regardless of weakness and possible fall risk. I reported him to his supervisor and never saw him again. My PT spent a hour and a half or more each visitwith me just talking about his horrible experiences in life and asking me for counsel to his difficult losses and life. He had cancer. I too, found myself connecting with him to my losses. The last visit, I sobbed uncontrollably. I had just experienced a heart attack. He had to go. Boundary issues. There was no physical therapy accomplished in those six visits. None. Medicare paid them all. I phoned that same supervisor and said I'm done. I did explain that PT person is a wonderful troubled man but he needs some instruction on boundary issues, client to professional. I was a RN 28 years. The supervisor of these individuals also an RN. I'm unsure if she is qualified to be their supervisor. Also, OT came in first to address my painful left upper arm and shoulder for five solid months. She diagnosed me as having a "rotator cuff tear". How does she know? She spent at least four sessions of pulling, pushing, stretching, lifting, swinging my arm and shoulder. I did the work. Ten times each. I was in pain entire time. My shoulder and upper arm did not improve. I called supervisor and said I would like to stop OT. I subsequently went to my PCP. He took several xrays of arm and shoulder and I have severe arthritis that no amount of OT will cure. I was correct in discontinuing that service. Medicare paid for that service. All in all, I experienced a negative lesson with Mission Home Health of Bend, Oregon. I would not recommend them to anybody wanting physical therapy, RN, occupational therapy home health services Dianne Boyce RNBSN

My father's nurse, Julia from Mission Home Health is an amazing person. Julia's outstanding professionalism and kindness is clearly seen in the rapport between her and my father. Julia has also been extremely generous with her time communicating with both myself and my father. Thank you ever so much Julia. You are a special person.
