The most screwed up company, ever. With a combined rating of 2.7 stars, I have no idea how Penn accumulated that rating. I’ve been with Penn Home Care, off and on, for nearly 10 years. They started out decent, but gradually went way down hill. If you call the main office in Bala Cynwyd Pa, you’re greeted by nasty people who know nothing about anything and quickly take down your phone number with a promise of a callback. That return call NEVER happens, 100% of the time No one ever ever returns calls. Even management blows you off. It’s a total dysfunctional operation. There’s a manager there named Sarah who is the most inept, unqualified manager I have ever come across in my entire life. I’ve been subject to her harassment, yelling and bullying, all in multiple conversations. Threats of termination of services, threats of sending security personnel on Nursing appointments. I could go on and on. Bottom line, they don’t care. It’s gotten so bad, that how they were able to attain a 2.7 rating is mind boggling. Nurses who show up at your home, unannounced, unconfirmed. One nurse who actually left my home and called my Primary Doctor, without my knowledge and tried to convince him I was having an Asthma Emergency. When in fact, I don’t suffer from Astma. Never had Asthma in my life. The incompetence is so outrageous. Bottom line, STAY AWAY FROM PENN HOME Care. They are totally 100% BAD NEWS!

Terrible agency Penn should be ashamed to have its name attached. The nurses are unprofessional, never arrived on time , and will treat patients in a discriminatory manner. Look out if your family member is upset or frustrated because of their illness because these pathetic excuses for nurses are not able to handle it. I would not recommend to anyone!

My mother was referred to Penn Homecare for physical therapy, yet she was never properly evaluated. The physical therapist, who had no real knowledge of my mother’s condition, told her she was being “referred to hospice.” This decision was not theirs to make. My mother was not terminal, she never consented to hospice, and she was of sound mind—she simply had a hearing impairment. Discharge instructions were for physical therapy not hospice. Despite her wishes, she was placed under the care of Penn Medicine Hospice, where her life was tragically shortened. I worked tirelessly to reverse the hospice enrollment, contacting law enforcement, medicare and COSA, but my efforts were unsuccessful. Penn Medicine Hospice ordered powerful medications that were not clinically appropriate for her condition as she was not terminal, causing a well patient's condition to rapidly decline. Hospice admission criteria must be stricter and more accountable to prevent families from enduring wrongful hospice placements. My mother’s most basic right—the right to life—was violated. I will continue to seek justice and advocate for stronger protections so that no other family suffers this kind of preventable loss.

What a fantastic service this has been for us! My husband has glioblastoma, terminal brain cancer, And home care through Penn has been life saving. These folks are the most caring, kind and helpful people we have as part of our care team! 10 ⭐️

Beyond impressed with Penn Medicine at Home. My recent experience has been well coordinated, impressive staff and truly exceptional care. The case management team orchestrated RN, PT, and OT service. All I had to do was answer the phone! I am so pleased to receive services from them.
