If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They are horrendous and don’t care about you or your kids. 3 times out nurse had informed them she wouldn’t come in and they never told me so I’m up till midnight waiting for her for her to not be here because when she told them at 7am they never bothered to call me even after I asked them about it. And when she agreed to work and cover a shift for another nurse they FORGOT to put it in the schedule. So don’t trust this company with your child because it won’t be consistent care and you will not be informed of anything. The staff sucks and doesn’t care

My experience with Preferred has been excellent, the staff is kind , willing to work with you in any situation . They have been respectful and helpful and supportive , I could go on and on about their support and understanding. I‘ve worked with and for Preferred home health care for 10 years or more , and they been the same. I really appreciate them so much.

I’ve been working with preferred for 2+ years, particularly Rosie. From our first conversation until now, Rosie has excused warmth and real care about your family and our needs! She matched my son with the most perfect nurse and has consistently checked in to make sure that all were satisfied. She’s been an amazing at helping us troubleshoot any issues with expediency. For a family with a medically complex child, Rosie’s professionalism and warmth has been truly appreciated. Thank you to this great team.

My son is a client of Preferred, he is medically complex, Rosie our coordinator, has been so incredibly helpful with staffing us even with the current nurse shortage. I have the best team of nurses, she always answers any and all of my questions, and works around the clock to make sure I am staffed. In the most difficult time of my life, I am most grateful to have someone like her on my side and guiding me the entire way.

Preferred fired our very pregnant nurse mid-week. Via text message. Think of the most petty, rude, arrogant, manipulative people you knew in high school. Now imagine they never matured, and were given jobs helping families who need nurses. You can now get a sense for the people who work at Preferred offices. Schedulers make grievous errors. They sent nurses to the wrong addresses and wrong hours for our case. They do not know how to read schedules. They do not work to cover call-outs. If a nurse wants off, they do nothing to get it covered. If fell on us as a family to find coverage. They just don't do it. Schedulers have directly threatened our nurses with removing them from shifts if they didn't do what they were told. At times, that meant taking them off of our shifts to work another case they just onboarded. They didn't have replacements for those nurses they threatened. Our nurse case manager passed off clinical work to an office worker instead of doing their actual job. They did this to my son twice. She would lie to get out of responsibilities or cover her own dumb mistakes. The director of nursing is just as lazy as the owner when it comes to fixing staff issues. Bensalem's office manager threatened our nurse (a young, pregnant, POC) to remove her from the case if she would not sign a BYOD contract stating that the nurse was responsible for any and all issues surrounding their new charting system. The non POC nurses were not given an ultimatum like that. Every incompetent employee there eventually gets promoted to Human Resources. I have never seen so many terrible people fail forward than I have seen with Preferred. If they don't get promoted to HR, they take their terrible work ethics and are given management opportunities at their offices. Bensalem is a perfect example of this. One of the nurses they sent us flooded our house with toxic category three water because they didn't know how to turn off the water to a toilet. This made our house uninhabitable for months while repair work was completed. The morning it happened, we called the on call person to ask for help. Our son has a hospital like bedroom, with about a few hundred pounds of equipment. And we needed to get out of there right away. Their response: "What do you want me to do about it?" That person is now the director of HR. The owner of the company ignored our requests for help time after time. His story of this being a family business that wanted to offer better services than they received is absolute garbage, and a lie. He doesn't care about the families or the nurses so long as he can keep getting paid from their multiple dumpster fire offices. Any offer they make to "fix" the situation is just posturing. He does not care. I cannot stress this enough. HE DOES NOT CARE. Because we pointed out Preferred's terrible habits, poor treatment of nurses, clinical care errors, and bad decisions concerning our son's care, they decided that they no longer would support our case, and abandoned the case. They were the paragon of trash, and they decided we were the problem. Petty. Ignorant. Deceitful. Incompetent. I cannot think of a worse company. They were awful to us as a family. They were awful to our nurses. They will be awful to you, too. Nurses: do not accept a job with them. Plenty of other agencies that will treat you 10 times better. EVERYONE IS HIRING. I am dead serious when I started this post. They actually removed our very pregnant nurse mid-week. They said in writing that no person with a medical restriction could work at Preferred. When we pushed back on this incredibly dumb statement, they then tried to say they never said that. They refused to allow her to have an accommodation for a lifting requirement. So, according to Preferred, if you have a medical issue, you cannot work there. Families: your life will be miserable if you work with these terrible people. Contact any other agency instead. Preferred made my son less safe.
