Had a very good talk with Andrea. Very informative and willing to satisfy my needs. I’ve been an employee with BAYADA for 23 years now. First time contacting this office. Very pleased with the service they provided..

I will give you the good first. The nurses aide and charge nurse were really great to work with. Bayada as a whole is a disaster. My child needs nursing hours at home and school. We were easily able to get hours for school but on three separate occasions we tried to get services for home and were unsuccessful. The first time it was the insurance that denied us home care, so that was semi understandable. Bayada flat out refused to try a second time. When we went back to them to try to get home hours again, they refused us yet again, because my son's condition can cause him to be violent occasionally. Now in the nursing industry, nurses and nurse's aides sometimes need to deal with situations like that, for people with dementia or many other disorders of the brain. Their excuse was they had a team of people to help while he is at school. For his home hours the nurses aide wouldn't be alone with my child, it would have been just someone to help me with meal preparation and diapering. They refused. Finally after a year of diaper changing at school, they suddenly decided they could no longer apply diaper rash cream if he had a rash. That was the end of it for me. What's the purpose of working with sick children if you are unable to care for them appropriately? I felt like I had to fight tooth and nail to get the services I needed. I recently found a new agency that had no issues getting me all the hours I need at home and school without a huge hassle. If it was a reflection of Bayada as a whole I would give them zero Stars, but the head nurse and aide were great with my child and me so they'll get that credit. Otherwise, I would never recommend this place.
