We used VNA for the end-of-life hospice care for my mother-in-law and were overwhelmed by the FAMILY support that came with the exceptional care I witnessed my MIL received. It was obvious the highly trained nurses only cared about one thing: the comfort of my MIL. They asked questions and they LISTENED. Cassie, who was our main nurse, especially provided superior care. She was never too busy for a text message and always willing to offer support typical of an aide when one wasn't available soon enough (although the aide was great as well). In the end, when we, the family care givers, needed help, they sent someone (Amber- so warm, so experienced, so reassuring!) that afternoon (even though I bet it took a lot of extra paperwork on their end). The staff at VNA went above and beyond. They were there at the worst time of our lives, and we couldn't have gotten through it without them.
