I’m not happy at all been waiting on my nurse since 9:30 when she said she was coming it’s 11:15 and nothing not even a phone call , the other day a half hour late I prepare for when they come and expect the same respect in turn …. I’m done with Deer Meadows

Deer Meadows might have been a good retirement home but it isn't any more. Some of the staff are rude. They don't want to do their job. They sometimes ignore Residents when they call upon them. The staff also try to give wrong medications to residents and that can be dangerous and a lawsuit. Residents get their food and coffee cold most of the time. Something must be done about all of this. I gave 2 stars because there are some good employees that care. But most are there for a paycheck. Still, I do not recommend Deer Meadows to anyone.

Terrible. BEYOND terrible. The staff taking care of my mother treated her poorly. Disregarded her needs and went searching through her personal belongings in a box because they assume she stole one of their equipments when in actuality it was hers. They tried to with hold information that I needed on paperwork by giving me 2/4 pages. When I asked what happened to the other 2 pages they were trying to say that it wasn’t important information so I then said I still need them, regardless. They brought it to me and those 2 pages had all her personal information and how to use properly use her medicines and equipments. “ Not important “ yeah, right. The staff did not feed her the way it was needed either and when it time to pick her up ( which was also a hassle ) the staff just took her food (which was just an orange ) and ate it in front of her instead. We had to get the supervisor to actually get them to listen to my mother. On top of all of that. They would make sure she was on pills and barely conscious to then make her sign paperwork. All while turning their identification cards around so that my mother couldn’t properly identify them. They was also trying to have to wear socks that were used by other patients and then washed to her instead of giving her new ones as required. The only staff that was professional and caring was the front desk person who answers calls, the supervisor and one of the female nurses.

The BEST staff I have come in contact with from the intake nurse (Kim) down to the visiting staff nurses, PT, OT and Social-worker. They were all so helpful and caring with my mom. I highly recommend services from Deer Meadows.

Mom came to my house for rehab after almost 2 weeks in the hospital. She lives in an independent apt in DM. DM home health is a separate entity from the facility. Their care has been excellent. I am very happy we chose them as the connection to her home has been a positive.I stress that they are a separate agency as I would not recommend DM rehab. The nurses and therapists, Holly, Toni, Gina, who have visited are professional and very respectful to my 85 year old mother. When she returns home next week, they will continue to follow her as needed.
