Hospice recommended by the Ponce Mennonite social worker. Very poor service. I do not recommend them. Nurses are absent, and the supervisor is not up to date. Nurses are in a hurry, justifying it by saying there is no staff and too many patients. Excellent ulcer treatment, but the nurses say they don't do the work of others. Excellent chaplain, excellent social worker. Doctor once a month, but don't expect him if something happens because he won't show up; everything is done through the nurse. Dad was on a damaged/broken mattress because the staff says they don't touch patients, and the nurses say they can't move Dad because he's heavy. Although there is a hoist at home, they don't want to use it, and they don't carry necessary medications. The day Dad died, the nurse didn't last even 8 minutes at home, and the doctor didn't show up to complete the funeral home's paperwork. In short, a regrettable experience.

Excellent service! I had a family member stay with Advanced, and it was truly a spectacular experience. From the beginning, they treated us with great respect and care. The nurse was incredible, always attentive and very dedicated. She made us feel at ease during a difficult time. I am very grateful for all the care and support they gave us. 100% recommended.

I tried to accept their incompetence, compensated by a single nurse who did a decent job, but it's simply impossible. A whole week went by and the bathroom nurse never showed up because they never scheduled her. The 24/7 on-call service is a complete farce. I called today for a nasogastric tube at noon, and the nurse said she would tell the nurse who was available. Then I told her that she was the one who had to come, and from 2:30 pm onwards she kept saying she was going to get dressed and go see the patient, and at 7:45 pm she still hadn't arrived. Advance Hospice should consider changing its mission to euthanasia; they would be number one on the island. Don't waste your time and consider another option. With the exception of one or two nurses, the service is extremely uncomfortable and I am very dissatisfied. I am calling my health insurance plan and canceling.
