My son is a quadriplegic. He has been with Prisma Home Health for five years, and after a dispute with a nurse named Amy who refused to call prior to arriving at our home on multiple occasions, Prisma marked my son's chart as "do not admit." This resulted in him not being picked up by another home health provider. My son needs wound care. This company is very unprofessional and often sends out RNs and LPNs who are rude and walk into my home without knocking. Do not use this company.

I consider myself to be most blessed receiving home health care the past three months through Prisma! After the initial intake visit, I was immediately assigned a specific nurse for the remainder of my care. My nurse Jennifer has been a godsend! 1)She is prompt, always arriving within the time frame she is scheduled. 2) She listens to any concerns that I have and promptly addresses them. 3)Every week we discuss any upcoming doctors' appointments I may have that could impact my home health care and willingly adjusts her schedule to accommodate these changes. 4) She meticulously follows infection control protocols as she treats me. 5) Jennifer orders any medical supplies I need, then has them mailed directly to my home (I fired my previous home health agency because a nurse ordered supplies then had them delivered to her house. After contacting her supervisor, this nurse finally delivered my supplies to my house). 6)Jennifer ensures that medical supplies aren't wasted, for example, measuring the length of any tape needed before cutting, uses just enough gauze for the medical task, and orders just enough supplies for about 2-3 weeks at a time. 7) When I have needed a substitute nurse, I have received the same caliber of care from them as I have received from Jennifer. I completely trust the home health nurses I have encountered, and should I need their services again, I would request that my doctor refer me to Prisma Home Health.
