This review was put on MSA's regular (Lexington) business account. Since I have noticed this account is also listed I decided to copy my review and add it here as well...... Do not use MSA (Medical Services of America). We used them for my wife's Grandmother back just a few months ago. (It will now be, 7 months ago on Oct 12th) Very poor service when it came to comfort care, not available when needed, and some of the medical staff had very bad attitudes. They were basically there when it was over, not when we needed them the most. If comfort care is what you're looking for, this isn't the company for you.

MSA is AWESOME. An RN came the very next day after my friend was released from the hospital to perform an assessment & develop a plan for follow-up visits from home healthcare to include qualified RNs & Physical Therapists. These professionals have been very caring & focused on my friend’s health issues. They have gone above & beyond expectations with addressing concerns for supplies, medication refills, intermittent bloodwork & urine analysis. They have been very understanding to schedule their time to satisfy my friend’s needs & always call ahead prior to their arrival. Highly recommend this healthcare group supporting the Newberry area. THANK YOU for what you do.

Can’t say enough good things about MSA that works the Batesburg-Leesville area. The Physical Therapist Diana and Sonya were GREAT…. We had a great experience and recommend them as home health therapist.

This is the company the hospital set me up with for home care for my 94 year old grandmother upon her discharge. I was not familiar with any other companies but I so wish I had read the details of these reviews before hand. They were incompetent & highly unprofessional. The nurses that came out never brought their own supplies even though my grandmothers insurance was billed for that. They were not skilled in wound care and most of it was left to me. They were also very inconsistent. The occupational therapist was so rude & disrespectful on the phone we never even allowed him into the home. Then physical therapy. The head PT Nick is arrogant. He is not skilled in geriatric care. He clearly thinks he went to medical school and knows more than he actually does (I actually went to medical school). He undermines the work of his PTA Crystal. And his evaluations are bogus. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. The new company we are with is like a breath of fresh air. The new company we are with is professional & highly qualified compared to these people. If I could give MSA half a star I would. Save your time.

If I could give a big fat ZERO, I would!! This company has the most incompetent RN's I have ever seen! They CANNOT handle wound care and are HIGHLY disorganized. The 1st nurse came out to assess my 96 yo Grandmother's wounds and rebandaged them. By the time I got home from work, the bandages were hanging off of her arm! I DO HAVE photos! The 2nd nurse came yesterday, and had already received photos of the materials she would need to treat her properly. However, when she arrived, she DID NOT have the proper supplies. I had to let her use my scissors, tape, etc.....she cross contaminated everything she touched. She did not sit her in an area that would give her assess to proper posture and lighting. She had sterile gloves on, yet proceeded to read text messages on her phone, use an ink pen, touch a trash bag, touch her computer and then continued to undress and redress the wound with those same gloves on!!!!. A wou nd I might add that had been nurtured for 14 days with NO reopened areas, yet, she pulls the xeroform off and rips the wound wide open! She never moisted the gauze prior to removal, and obviously, NEVER bandaged a wound on an elderly person in her life. I did not all her to continue care and told her we would handle everything from here. We addressed the issue right there and all she could say was, "I'm sorry." Really?? Sorry you got caught?? Sorry you didn't bring the proper supplies?? Sorry you tore my Grandmother's wound open?? Or sorry you have NO clue what Univeral Precautions are or how to practice sanitary safety standards?? If you LOVE your LOVED ONE, please NEVER allow this company to assist with their care. This has been reported to the VA and other agencies! My Grandmother proudly served her country during WWII and deserves the up most respect!
