Horrible patient care! They do not follow through with promised therapy, don’t show up, don’t call, and don’t care! The “nursing” service is the biggest waste of time I’ve ever encountered. Nurses show up reeking of cigarette smoke, take a quick BP and temperature, ask minimal questions about medication intake and head out the door. Then they sit in the driveway for 20-30 minutes, which I can only assume is to legitimize time spent. Your loved ones deserve much better. I know mine does.

It is a wonder that Amedysis is still in business. They are the epitome of poor health care. If there was a way for me to rate this review with an inverted number of stars, I would! I hired them to provide some services for my father - OT, PT and Speech. The Speech Therapist went in to do an evaluation, but didn't follow up regarding services until many days later. She then said she needed clearance from my father's PCP and when I requested a prioritized phone conversation with her to find out why there was such a delay, she had a "chip on her shoulder" and found it necessary to try to convince me that she could handle her case load. Clearly, she was upset and it was a very uncomfortable conversation for me. Much less than I expected from a medical professional. Furthermore, she was probably upset b/c I refused to communicate about my father's medical care with her through text messages, as she suggested! I'm not even a medical professional, yet I know that this is AGAINST HIPPA regulations! After a month of inconsistent communication, I received an email stating that she would be going on PTO for two weeks. Really? This was the straw that broke the camel's back, so I called the Office Manager and was even further shocked that she seemed really unconcerned about my father getting the services he needed and opted to "take up for the Speech Therapist" instead because she happened to be the only Speech Therapist she has. Additionally, there was an evaluator who was supposed to facilitate a re-evaluation. I asked her to call my father's surgeon's PA so that we could create a unified plan for my father...you probably guessed it...she didn't call back either! Lastly, I requested a copy of my father's medical records SIX weeks ago and still have NOT received them! I would NEVER recommend these folks and am so glad that we have other resources that we can draw from. It saddens me that there may be people who have to "settle" for Amedysis. I'm sure their health care is greatly compromised! If you can, choose another entity...you'll be MUCH better off!!

Staff scheduled appointments. They did not bother to call or show up on time . Up to 5 hours late. Tried to get my mom discharged from their service so we could get another service . Discharge usre s heduled an appointment called late that evening to say she was busy would reschedule. Never heard back. I called almost 2 weeks later for them to tell me my mom was on the schedule the next day. My mom had a doctor's appointment. They scheduled her without checking if she was busy.

The staff was wonderful! They got me moving and back on my feet. I'm now able to shower alone and get up and down the stairs. I would highly recommend them!
