This is a $2,000+ review. Despite being insured for the majority of my wife's prenatal care, we have been left to pay for every penny because they gave us the whole bill for every visit after we moved away and were no longer insured. We have been back and forth with HRMC and our former insurance provider about getting an itemized bill from them, but HRMC is incapable of producing such documentation. Unbelievable that a medical center would be unable to do so. Also pathetic that they wait to charge you for every visit at the very end, and date it as though you received the care at the end, and not for every visit when you were seen. Remarkably unprofessional, fiscally deceitful, and openly depraved. A medical center that values their patients would reconsider their business and billing practices.

After a serious car accident, my parents were both taken to this hospital. My dad made a comment about not really liking his doctor, but he was released with several broken ribs and minor injuries. He is currently in the ICU at another hospital after being admitted to the ER for breathing issues. He has since been diagnosed with 4 separate issues--fractured vertebrae, internal bleeding, a partially collapsed lung, among other injuries that were seemingly missed. Some of these may have developed or worsened since the original accident, but some of them clearly did not--leaving serious doubt about the care they received initially. He's stable now, but he went through several days of agony at home with difficulty breathing and his other injuries untreated. The only word that comes to mind is "negligence".

Staff was EXTREMELY Rude I went in because I had a bad headache for going on 3 days I was in extreme pain when I told the lady in the front why I was there she was rude and disrespectful she told the other nurse “I don’t even know what to write down” mind you I was 5 months pregnant and it was in the winter time she proceeded to tell me that I don’t look pregnant and there’s no way I could be 5 months EXCUSE ME? Very unprofessional she doesn’t write down that I was pregnant cause apparently it wasn’t important enough when I get called to the back they tried to give me an IV in my arm it took 3 nurses to get a iv in my arm they poked me multiple times leaving bruises all over my arms they try to give me something that would have been harmful to my baby. I had a feeling so I told them I was pregnant they had no idea and one of the nurses even said i don’t know why they wouldn’t have put that down I will never go back to this hospital even if it means I have to drive a hour away and go somewhere else.

I have zero complaints about the care my daughter received from Rebekah Storm and her nurses. But months after I had my daughter there for BC I got a voicemail so when I called back I was told by Tammy that she can’t remember why she called me and she had a “sticky note somewhere” so I had then updated my address with her just in case. I had then received a bill in the mail for $25 months later and I tried to go online to pay it and their website was down so I happened to not be at work during their business hours and called and paid with Kim over the phone. And again months later I get a call from collections looking for my minor daughter because she has a collection. I called the hospital again and there was another bill for $25 that got sent to collections previous to the bill I just paid that I had never received a bill phone call or anything from. Wasn’t even told about this previous bill when I called to make the last payment. Glad I moved and don’t have to go back. Billing is a joke.

The entire experience was very good. I've heard very unpleasant stories about colonoscopies, and as this was my first one, I was concerned going in to the procedure. The proscribed prep was fine - very grateful to not have to drink an unpleasant concoction like I had heard about from others. Checking in was quick and easy. Once in the room, staff communicated well with me about what would be happening. They made me comfortable and were very attentive. The procedure itself happened while I was under anesthesia - going to sleep was pleasant, and coming out of anesthesia was pleasant. The follow up to how the procedure went was communicated well and the release process was quick and easy. I absolutely, 100% would recommend everyone who needs this procedure to do it right here in Huron.
