I believe if we are on the medical profession, we should do our very best to tackle the patient's needs. Overall, the nurses and staff acted like they don't want to work. They have no manners at all. Not every dehydration is treated with Popsicles or the use of ice cubes. Dr. Lecher evaluated her for one virus (streptpcoccus) and made his final conclusions on this particular virus, instead of exploring other causes for high fever, ear infection, and sore throat. It is important to remember that courtesy, good manners, and proving education standards are minimal requirements to perform an excellent job. If I was the director of the facility, I would fire all women at the main desk. We need to have better personnel in this "community ". We need to be proactive and not expect to be sitting around while expecting to get paid for a job poorly done. I would give this a negative star, but the system would not allowed that.

Front desk gals are always so cheerful and nice, and the nurses and coordinator are very kind and helpful. Dr. Darnall was my provider at another facility and it was a smooth transaction to Avera to continue my care. She shows the highest level of compassion and care of any provider our family has seen and honors body autonomy and includes her patients in their care and planning and is very supportive and encouraging, leaving the patient better than when they arrived.

Had a stress test 2 weeks later and 6 phone calls later im still waiting on a call about the results. Not happy with the way I have been treated im looking for a new doctor that can actually give me those results. I think it is ridiculous to be waiting this long when someone life is on hold.

Missed initial appointment. Had wrong date. Went to reschedule and they lectured us on missing appoint, which we had already apologized for, and then they refused to schedule us together. We'll go somewhere we aren't punished for making a simple mistake.

I am an RN and was seen most recently in the after hours clinic at Avera clinic in Milbank. My visit with them was very impressive! I was treated in a very timely manner. My receptionist was Heather, my nurse was extremely friendly and helpful, the PA was Patrick. The care I received was EXCELLENT! Everyone I came in contact with from checking in to checking out was kind, professional, but so friendly! They made me feel as if I had been a patient and person they had known forever. I am from Nebraska spending a few months at the lake during the summer. There is always some anxiety being away from my provider at home, should I need medical care. Avera clinic and hospital was so helpful! I feel so Blessed to have this health care facility so close. Thank you to all who provided me with kindness and knowledgeable care!
