This is the best company I’ve ever worked for. I’m a chronically ill single mom and they tolerate my appointments, children’s appointments and always willing to be reasonable with needing time off. They’ve gone out of their way multiple times. Communication is always amazing. Sarah, my supervisor was always available and willing to answer any questions I had or assist me in the right place to looks. Shavonne gave me grace when I suffered a devastating (non work related) injury until I was able to be back again. Melinda, my scheduler was always accommodating for any requests off I had. Hands down, the best experience of my nursing career!

Post for Johnson City office … The nursing and personal care given to our dying family member was so compassionate and professional. The administration kept us informed of changes in the schedule, etc. Would not have been able to take care of our aunt at home without them. A great big thanks to all of them…

Worked for Maxim MAYBE three months. I was shuffled between dozens of patient homes. Refused cases in the area near my home, despite them needing nursing. And forced to drive to case over 40 or more minutes away. On top of this, I was put on unlaid leave for almost 3 weeks with no explanation and terminated due to a completely unreasonable conclusion made by the office staff who attacked my character and took no accountability for not giving me more training and resources. Especially considering it was my first nursing job, and I had a lot to learn. No patient that I took care of was ever harmed, and I did the best I could with the miniscule knowledge I was given about very complex patients and no information about their needs unless I asked multiple times. As soon as I got attached to a family, I was ripped away. I DESPISE this company. Please don't blame the nurses for disappearing. They have no control over it!

If you like getting paid I would not recommend working here. I've traveled with Maxim before and had a wonderful experience. It seems the Knoxville office only employees lazy people that don't want to do their jobs. For 4 weeks I told my recruiter as well as an account manager that I was unable to access my direct deposit information in ADP... by the time they quit blowing me off it was too late so I was paid with a paper check. Four days past payday and I still have no check. I've been told "they mail it on payday". What a bad business practice, despite no fault of my own I'm left with nothing until this mythical check shows up in the regular mail. It's pretty obvious this company and office doesn't care about their employees.

Working for Maxim, I have had many positive experiences. My work schedule is up to me. As little or as much as I choose to work. I can easily access my recruiter, payroll and clinical personnel as needed. Every encounter has been polite and helpful. Opportunities to work with populations that are new to me has increased my skill set. The app we utilize is easy to navigate. I truly have nothing negative to say.
