I seriously wish I would have read the reviews before coming to this place. Whomever is over handling patients CPAP studies, assistant or whatever she is has got to be the most unprofessional, careless person I've ever dealt with. The saddest part is they generally do not care because if they did then it would reflect in the reviews. You can leave message after message after message and 30 days will go by without response. It is absolutely ridiculous, I got rid of my physician because this is the second time she recommended me a place that was similar to the terrible service. Sad part is I had to call from an unfamiliar number just to get a response to be talked to like I am nothing. I am not even a worrisome person at all I was just simply trying to return a call from an important voicemail from you guys. If my insurance company had not already paid I would much rather go somewhere else I am beyond frustrated,

We are a Methodist Healthcare family and have been so since 1989 when we moved to the area. I graduated from Methodist School of Nursing and had two close relatives use Methodist’s hospice services and they were amazing. Unfortunately, we recently used them for hospice for my mom. Why wouldn’t I? They have always exceeded expectations. However, this time has been so disappointing. It started with a nurse recommending to my family to move my mom to Methodist’s hospice facility. She even said, “if this were my mother, I would move her.” This upset my family and undercut their confidence in the memory care she had been in for two years. She never even spoke to me about it and I was mom’s healthcare decision maker. Poor communication, conflicting messages, poor follow up all created chaos in mom’s last days. The hospice nurses were difficult to reach, did not show up when they said they would, and were not advocates for my mom’s and family’s needs. Though in hospice for a few weeks, she did not get the ordered hospital bed until just a few hours before her death. They mismanaged her hospice medications which meant my mother suffered needlessly in her final days and hours. Today is Tuesday and mom died on Sat. No one even called us to check on the family until today. When asked why they had not reached out, the caller said, “I was on my days off.” The company has staffing issues and woefully undertrained nurses. Their staff didn’t seem equipped to answer basic questions and were defensive and even tearful when asked to make changes to mom’s plan. They lack empathy and had no capacity to manage what should have been a straight-forward hospice plan. Do not even consider using Methodist Hospice.

The nurses and the aide were nice during the week my dad spent on hospice but everyone else was basically non existent. I had to beg for a social worker to reach out to me and in the end I’m still left to figure out next steps on my own although during intake they lead you to believe they will be supportive. You would think they would at least reach out when your loved one passes but they don’t. Now that things are done I’m slowly finding out that I was supposed to be offered more resources than I was and I wish I had chosen another company for my dad.

Sadly, this hospice did not live up to our expectations. After transferring from another hospice that gave outstanding care, we thought we would get the same care here. The negatives: We could not hear the “intake” nurse, and she could not answer our questions, such as services offered. We didn’t get the supplies (Hospital bed, oxygen, suction) when they were promised. We got the bed a day later, and the oxygen 5 days later. The medications did not arrive on the day they should have, nor the day after. The social worker got sick, and there wasn’t another to help us. Had my daughter not been a nurse, we would have really suffered trying to care for him. When my husband was dying, we called the nurse. He died, and an hour later, we called the nurse again and she said she wasn’t given the message. Three hours after my husband died, someone finally showed up. The positives: Linda, our team nurse, was wonderful and helpful. She got things moving, and got our medications called into Walgreens, since they weren’t delivered in time. Mike, the chaplain, was very nice and helpful. The social worker was wonderful, but she got sick, so she couldn’t help us. The nurse that came after he died was so very helpful. We would have liked more communication and for things to arrive when they were scheduled. That would have been so much more helpful and less stressful.

I left town for a Christmas vacation with a new CPAP mask they had given me. Surprise, it’s the wrong one and way too small. I called after suffering through the first night and they said they would ship a new one immediately overnight. No tracking number provided. This was to get here Friday morning. Another surprise. It didn’t arrive. Even though I called several times during the day prior to their 2 o’clock answering deadline and never received a call back not even on Monday. So I’m calling again. Who knows they might answer. But their service pretty much sucks. I agree with others. Their prices are way too high and I can’t give them less than 0.
