My mother was given confirmation prior to discharge from the hospital, after having a total hip replacement, that she would be receiving home health physical therapy through Tristar. This was her only in network option. Even though they accepted the case on Saturday (per the nurse manager at Tristar), On Monday, was told they denied it based off being at capacity for "Humana Members". Even though it was explained that she was left now with no home health, they still said they could not accept her based off who her insurance provider was even though they were in network with her plan. This is unethical and discriminating and utterly disappointing. There was no compassion or caring so I can't imagine what type of care actually is given to the chosen people with more desirable insurance providers. I do not recommend.
