It is such a benefit to the veterans that they get the help they need, especially when family is far away and is unable to care for them in the ways they need. At the beginning I was so relieved to have help from Caprock until they became extremely unprofessional when they came across their first challenge when helping my father. When a man has to leave his own home and move into an independent living facility it can be a very stressful time emotionally and physically and my father was an example of that. He wanted more time alone and instead of communicating, working out a new schedule with him they ran him off as non-compliant and “not safe” to work with even after I spoke with his caretaker, David, directly and was told by him he would be happy to help my father. Alexis told me she would contact me and never did then decided to not return any calls or messages. In any management position the main key is communication. I needed to know they would no longer help my dad so I could hire someone else and I couldn’t even get them to return a phone call. After several phone call attempts I spoke with Lauren, she said my fathers paperwork had expired which was untrue and Alexis had confirmed that two days prior. She also tried to push the blame on my dad being difficult when again the caretaker, David himself was texting me asking me when he could go visit my dad. Very disappointed, and heartbroken over my dad not getting the help he needs and to top it off having to go through a company that was so not compassionate, sympathetic and ultimately unloving. Hope this helps guide someone down their path with Home health.
