When LYNNET left today. She said she would schedule my appointment for tomorrow. She texted me 2ish. I had realized tomorrow is a day I don’t schedule appointments for. For personal reasons. She texted back about strict protocol with Texas Orthopedic. It’s not like I can’t do the sheet of PT by myself. That’s all we do. Tomorrow is my Mom’s Birthday who passed away from Cancer. She told me I had to be the one to refused. She also seems to of over scheduled herself. I don’t like the word ish after a time. I am sure Texas Orthopedic’s would understand a day that you set aside to remember a loss. I don’t schedule appointments on my Dad’s birthday either.

I tried to engage Texas Home Health for Personal Care (non-medical). I was very disappointed with this organization. After I was told there were resources scheduled to assist my mother, we only had a resource show up 1 day over a two week span. In that time I only received one phone call proactively letting me know that no resources were available that day. I understand the difficulty in acquiring staff. My chief complaint is Texas Home Health will not call and alert you to the fact that they have no resources for a given day. The one day a resource came to help, she was awesome. My concern is about extremely poor communication by the management team. I would not recommend this organization at the present time. Highly unreliable!

This place is a joke. They cancel on you over and over and then charge your Medicare anyways. Lisa the technician that comes out cancelled or rescheduled every week. Then when she was here she said that she was in such a rush we were lucky if she was here 30 minutes. We have all the text messages from her and just reported them today for medicare fraud. Trish the supervisor is the biggest crook of all. They knew exactly what they were doing wrong and she defended her company all the way. They knew my husband's condition and does not function in the afternoons so of course Lisa tried every day to reschedule to the afternoon knowing he would not be able to do PT. Don't use this company unless you want horrible service, to be treated poorly, and to have to go through all the hoops to report medicare fraud. I hope nobody else gets cheated by this horrible company. Just remember if you do have to do not let Lisa in your house and beware of Trish because she is only trying to scam you. I don't know how Trish lives with herself knowing she is taking advantage of disabled people.

Scheduler is TERRIBLE and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. My calls were not returned as they promised. Most staff do NOT call the night before to schedule. Staff makes last minute calls that's convenient for them. One nurse said he was a few minutes away and needed to stop in. I explained my frustration with last minute scheduling, that i was not home and Dad currently was doing PT, had a bath scheduled after that and he would be too tired for another visit. Again, another scheduling issue. When I asked why he didn't call the night before so we can work it out, he said he was not going to take me talking to him like that. He was very rude. The third party that TX Home Health contracts is excellent and scheduling has never been an issue. Never again withTexas Home Health.

I have very mixed feelings about the hospice services my family received from Texas Home Health. Miscommunication between their nurses resulted in my father being taken off a medication for PTSD for a week resulting in him becoming very depressed. Stephanie, the social worker assigned to my father provided poor services. On her initial visit, all she did was to ask my father whether he had planned his funeral and whether he was interested in a veteran's funeral service. This question upset my father. Two weeks later, when we called hospice to let them know we were taking my father to the hospital because we could no longer care for him at home they discouraged us from doing this and sent Stephanie to help us find a few days of respite care while we found care for my Dad. She arranged for him to stay at Senior Care of Onion Creek, for up to five days. We expressed concern because of the facility's low ratings on reviews. She assured us it was a good place and said she was sure we would be happy with the care there. Our experience there was a nightmare. My Dad died early the following afternoon. (we did not leave him alone the entire time he was there). The social worker misled us. Toby, the hospice nurse, who came about an hour before my Dad died, was empathic and stayed after my Dad passed to get him cleaned. I very much appreciate his assistance. Overall, I would not recommend Texas Home Health for hospice care.
