This is a review I never expected to have to leave, but I am so grateful to the hospice staff at CC Young. My sister battled severe illness for 20 years, and when she decided to stop treatment, she made the decision to go here. From even before she was admitted, the staff (shoutout to Kim) did absolutely everything to make sure she was taken care of. She was there about a week before she passed, and the staff went above and beyond. I cannot thank them enough for caring for my sister the way that they did.

I would've given 5 stars, however, when the dr doesn't send meds to the pharmacy upon discharge, and now I have to spend my morning dealing with absolute NONSENSE!! I WANT TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST THAT DR!! I gave them all afternoon and evening to call in the medicatio s. This is why you do discharge with the family, not just the patient. Particularly, when the patient has a caregiver, which is me. Mom is mostly blind she cannot read the bottles or know what the pills even look like. Juat spoke with someone. Let's see how long this takes to get taken care of. Everyone should take care of this IMMEDIATELY!! IDC about the excuses that could've lead to this. Don't wanna hear it. Just want an apology and them to acknowledge the mess up , and FIX IT IMMEDIATELY! Thank you CC Young for some nonsense again!! Last time she broke her hip within the first 16 hours she was there, now this??? Get it together people. She was in 719 Vista , discharged yesterday...not putting her name on here. Now I will say that the nurses and CNA's was exemplary. Mom actually haf a lot of fun! Everyone is usually nice. Judy, the receptionist, could use a lesson in kindness. Shes not usually nice to me on the phone, when she answers. Dont even.leave a message, no one will call u back. Like I said though, nurses, techs and kitchen staff were great.

My husband was there for memory care 12 years ago. I was there with him many many hours and I only had one complaint the 3.6 years. Staff was attentive and never ignored staff. As they were busy it sometimes took time to respond to a need but no one was ignored. Never smelled bad. Food was incredible good. I absolutely loved the evening hours nurse. I would hands down recommend.

This place looks like the Omni Hotel of senior facilities. I have passed this place for years and assumed that it was an upscale high rise apartment, but it is actually a rehab. When my dad was approved to do his rehab here I read the mixed reviews. I knew I wanted to review our overall experience, but to avoid being enamored by the top tier interior decor of the place. I decided to wait until he was discharged before I left a review. This place, the staff and service are AMAZING! They were very sweet and helpful with my Dad. He had a very nice comfy bed to sleep in, a large room to himself, with an awesome view! It was the perfect place for his recovery. He enjoyed the food there and they would give him a snack after meals if he wanted one. They also have a diner on the 2nd floor where staff and visitors can buy food as well. The parking garage is well lit and monitored. I felt safe coming and going from the facility in the evening. If my Dad ever needs rehab again or long term care CC Young will be our first choice!

This is a long review but hear me out. This review is for short term rehabilitation. My husband has a chronic illness and he has stayed in several different rehab facilities ranging from good to so terrible i had to call 911 to get him out of there. So i know what is available. I recently broke my ankle and needed rehab. CC Young was recommended to me by the hospital physical therapist. My stay lasted 10 days on the 7th floor of their Vista building. My first impression was how beautiful this facility is. The decor is beautiful and the building is full of big windows with beautiful views of White Rock Lake. Its layout is very handicap friendly and it is obvious a great deal of thought went into both how it looks and how it is used. The food is exemplary with lots of fresh vegetables and lots of choices. Although i did not go to many, there were lots of activities and the calendar was posted in several places. A place like this can be lovely but skilled nursing is very service intensive and the core of any facility . I can honestly say the staff at CC Young are the best part of the place. They were all thoughtful, helpful, engaged and available. They made my stay a pleasure. From physical therapy to housekeeping every staff member was exemplary. There were several notices of staff training and events. Clearly they ensure staff are engaged and equipped to provide the best care to the patients and it shows. The physical therapy department was well equipped and well staffed with knowledgeable and motivated professionals. Regan, Blair, Peter, G, and Skylar all worked hard to ensure my injury the best recovery possible. The nursing staff were all very available and empathetic. They answered all my questions and helped so much to manage my pain. Derek was a star nurse helping me through the worst of my recovery. Discharge was great. The social worker Jolisa and nurse Brittney worked hard to help me transition and took the time to answer all my questions and made sure i understood my aftercare plan. It is inevitable that my husband will need rehab in the future. He will be going to CC Young. I cannot say enough about the place. On a personal note, i love the outdoors and arrived after 2 weeks in hospital craving sunshine. The sensory garden on the second floor is beautifully maintained with plenty of seating, water features, flowers and peaceful wind chimes while being very handicap accessible. I spent many hours in the garden healing both my body and my soul
