⭐☆☆☆☆ Former patient — rehospitalized due to lack of follow-up care I was referred to US Universal Home Care following a hospital discharge with a PICC line and IV antibiotics requiring weekly dressing changes and regular lab draws to monitor kidney function. A nurse conducted an initial assessment and stated that a new nurse would visit every Monday to perform these services. No nurse arrived as scheduled. After waiting several days, I contacted the company directly. I was informed that they had “left a message” and were no longer able to service my area. This was communicated only after I reached out. When I asked for assistance finding alternative care, I was told to “Google it.” As a result, my PICC line dressing remained unchanged for nearly three weeks, and no laboratory monitoring was performed. This posed a significant health risk, particularly given the medication I was prescribed. I ultimately required hospital readmission for further care. This experience reflects a serious lack of communication, professionalism, and patient safety standards. I would strongly advise healthcare providers and discharge planners to reconsider referrals to this agency for patients requiring consistent follow-up or skilled nursing care.
