We were really excited to work with Envision Hospice, unfortunately from the very beginning it was such a disappointment. There was such a lack of communication and now after only 2 months with Envision Hospice we had transfer to a different Hospice. We got the usual apologies and give us another chance. We did stay and had a great team. My dad’s nurse was phenomenal. They told us to call if we ever needed anything, that there was someone always on-call. The day we needed someone to check on my dad I was told that there wasn’t anyone available. To need medical attention and not be able to reach someone at the number Envision gave us is Unacceptable!!!

My father was in need of hospice care during the pandemic in November of 2020. The team that helped us were very attentive and empathetic to my father and his needs as his cancer was extremely painful for him. They showed me how to change his sheets and diapers safely and even how to brush his teeth. They explained each stage my dad was going through and assured us of the changes we were witnessing as a natural process. They treated my dad with dignity and respect. I am forever grateful for their help.

My families experience from state to finish was wonderful. Between Paul, who explained the program to nurses both Danielle and Marie, the social worker, Reverend Paul even the guys who brought the equipment were all so nice. We thank you for making it easier on our family.

Very satisfied. The hospice team has been compassionate and attentive to my mother’s needs, making her comfortable and at ease. The medical care has been exceptional, and the staff always takes time to explain procedures and answer our questions with patience. The team is incredibly professional and compassionate, consistently going above and beyond to make my mom feel valued and respected. The team keeps us informed about everything, which helps reduce our stress. They always take time to clarify and are very responsive. Their emotional support for our family has been a blessing. They’ve helped us cope and feel prepared during this difficult time. The staff has been extremely respectful of my mom’s wishes, always checking in to ensure her comfort and autonomy. They’ve gone above and beyond to maintain her dignity and keep her comfortable, from managing pain to providing thoughtful, compassionate care. We are truly grateful for the hospice staff’s kindness and dedication. They’ve made a difficult time more bearable for our whole family.

My Dad was placed in hospice care under Envision for the final two weeks of his life. I cannot put into words how traumatic Envision made the process but I will try. First, we were promised that a nurse would come to bathe my bed ridden Dad on certain days and that never happened. We saw her maybe twice within the two weeks he was alive. We would call and ask over and over when the lady was coming only to be told “she’s on her way.” She never showed and he passed the following day. Secondly, my Mom asked repeatedly for a priest to come and give the last rights, and Envision promised they were working on it. My Dad passed without a priest. Lastly, and most horrific of all… when my dad did pass, an Envision nurse came to pronounce him, and as she was verifying funeral info with my Mom, we realized she didn’t even have the right patient’s file. She had another man’s file and wrote my dad’s time of death into this stranger’s file. How can a nurse be so unprofessional that they couldn’t even read my Dads name on the door before she entered his room in the nursing home?! How many other times was the wrong file in their hands? We asked for medication to help him go to the restroom and never received it. Now we wonder if the wrong person received medication, a priest, etc. We are exploring our legal rights at this time but for now, I hope to warn others about the trauma my Mom has experienced during this difficult time in hopes you don’t choose them.
