Absolutely horrible agency! My wife had today knee replacement. She promised nurse and PT—they never showed up or gave lame excuses. The only calls she got were about insurance billing. And one where the PT had the address wrong, so she never showed up. I would never recommend to anyone you love. It sad watching my wife suffer and try to do PT on her own. Shame on you!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY this place is horrible and does not take care of thier patients at all … i am a certified nurse assistant and i share a client with this compang and lets just say the nurse had relayed information for me to atop treating a backside wound and not addressing infection concerns but little did they know im a woundcare nurse also and he was also denied pain medication for the infection and wounds and was left almost every morning with no caregiver ti come to him and they would call out with the clients famiky so thia way they still got paid for it and then, when we finally called to ask for someone else in replacement for that call out, it was like finding a needle in the haystack of just trying to verify if he was a patient with this company or not the whole idea of hospice is in the event of emergency, we have a 24 seven contact number with immediate care not the patient being left in pain infection almost turned in septic and also the caregiver telling the client‘s daughter that the morphine box in the refrigerator has been recalled so she needed to remove it from the home which it never was recalled so we don’t know what happened with it once she took it….. he later That we developed a severe UTI from being denied treatment….. Do not send your family to this hospice company I will file whatever needs to be filed to shut this place down or at least have a PS step in and file an investigation where it is needed. This place is a phony scheme.

AVOID AMATUS HOME HEALTH. TERRIBLE does not describe the Service I received from Amatus. The sales guy Chris "sold" the relationship with my surgeon as a PARTNERSHIP. After using them once, I fired Amatus and my surgeon confirmed their is NO direct or indirect business relationship between his office and AMATUS. Chris oversold what he (personally) and Amatus could/ would do for me. I should have sent them packing on Day One. Cedric showed up to onboard me. He proceeded to ask questions/write answers for over an hour. Questions about Advanced Directory, Power of Attorney, DNR Letter, etc...I should have sent him packing. He could not answer why they needed the data or what they were going to do with it Further questions came about details of ALL PERSCRIPTION MEDICINE I take. Details way beyond name, dosage, and when taken. REDFLAG ! If they thought they needed it, they could have received it from my surgeon, my PCP, the surgery center or the pharmacy. When posed with that question, Cedric didn't answer. This could be an indication Amatus does not have a license to deliver health services. REDFLAG Stupid question...Cedric asked "Do you have an escape plan?" When I asked "From what or whom?" He had no answer. He tried to administer a verbal mental acuity test, but screwed it up. Why ? They are doing week one rehab for knee replacement...not brain surgery. REDFLAG. Cedric left and said he would call me later that evening (Tues) and let me know when he would come on Wed and Fri. He didn't call. REDFLAG! Felix called late Tues. Identifying as Amatus Health and he would come at 1 on Wednesday. Felix showed up after 2:30 on Wednesday. No explanation, no apology, nothing about being over 90 min late. He had me do some exercises that I had already been doing. He never measured Range of Motion or FLEXION. He commanded me thru 20 minutes of exercise and left. He said he would call Thurs eve and let me know Friday's arrival time. REDFLAG He never called Thursday or Friday. At 11:30 A.M. I called my surgeon and told them to cancel. I called Amatus office and cancelled the Service. No questions about why, no questions about anything. Felix Texted me late Friday, saying the time he would show up ON SATURDAY. I told him not to bother, I had fired Amatus. Redflag On Tuesday another guy called to schedule an appointment time. I told him that I had fired Amatus. Redflag... Ive still not received a call from Chris the sales guy asking about what happened. REDFLAG. Dont walk away from them...RUN...I suspect they want your data to SELL IT, I suspect they are billing Medicare / insurance an enormous amount...then doing nothing and assuming nobody will go after them for billing issues.

Amatus is the best nurseing home health care company ever! Great nurses and customer service too! I am very pleased. In particular I had Ashley, Arlene and Sherry as wonderful nurses and Dominic at the office who where exceptional women who were always so kind and helpful to me, which I appreciated ememencly!
